Night of January 16th

[edit]

Regardless of the wording on an advertisement that happens to be in the public domain and thus available to use as an illustration in the article, the title of Night of January 16th is well-established. If you want sources, let's start with the printed text of the play itself: Rand, Ayn (1971) [1968]. Night of January 16th (paperback ed.). New York: Signet. ISBN 0-451-12530-4. You might notice the title of said work. Or you could go to the first major biography of the author, The Passion of Ayn Rand, and look at page 121, where it says the producer "agreed to change the title to Night of January 16th". Or look at how Rand refers to the play in her own letters published in Letters of Ayn Rand. Or see how it is referred to in academic books about Rand, such asGoddess of the Market. --RL0919 (talk) 23:09, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
