the first Italian Ethiopian war includes the battle of Adua, the peace treaty between the kingdom of Italy and the Ethiopian empire sanci as the border of the mareb river and still today is the stretch of border between Ethiopia and Eritrea therefore Axum Adigrat Adua Shire did part of the Ethiopian empire, I remind you that the western region of tigray in 1935 i.e. the beginning of the second Italian Ethiopian war was ruled by Ras Seyoum Mengesha and the eastern one by Ras Haile Selassie Gugsa--Dwayne Wilkinson (talk) 15:07, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
