APS-3 radar was not copied from the Germans
[edit]I was helping to restore an APS-3 system in a PV-2 Harpoon bomber. The original US military documentation, including blueprints, were dated 1944. Ergo, the statement in this article that the APS-3 was copied from a German system one year after the war is clearly incorrect. Also, I recall reading that the magnetron, which the APS-3 uses, was not discovered nor used by the Germans during the war.
