Editing talk page comments
[edit]For what it's worth, when you have to edit change talk page comments, the correct way to do so is to strike out the erroneous material with <s>text</s> (as shown earlier with edit vs. change), and then add the corrected text. Generally, if you make the change within a few minutes of the original text, that isn't necessary, but if it's been up long enough for people to have read the original, you should explicitly mark the changed text as described.
