Thanks for replying. However, please consider the fact that Novica (Novitza) and Kovatchevitch (transl. = Smith) are typical serb-ethnic (Serbian = from Serbia, Serb = ethnic group) first and last names (my own great-grandfather's name was also Novica).

The point is that, currently, finding non-polemical articles on the subject is not easy as official Montenegrin policy has been imposed on the local population in the 2000's (under Milo Djukanovic's regime), in many cases ethnic serbs could not preserve their jobs in government if they would officially claim they were serbs (as their fathers).

Meanwhile, it must be taken into account that Montenegro is obviously a sovereign state, nobody is challenging that, but its population is both religiously, culturally and ethnically more than similar (even tied) to other serb inhabited regions (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Dalmatia). In fact, most serbs have ancestral ties with Montenegro, and many Montenegrins have ancestral ties with Kosovo and Metochia or other regions in Serbia. This is also the case for the Montenegro and Herzegovinian serbs.
