Welcome to Wikipedia!
I'm Walter Görlitz, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge. Although you're free to perform most tasks on Wikipedia without registering, it's highly recommended you create an account as there are many added benefits. It's private and secure and it's also free, simple, and quick to do.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. If you register an account, you can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you could put a link to it on your user page.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your IP address linked to your contributions page (however, if you create an account, your IP address will be hidden and you will be able to build a custom signature that can link to your own user page), a link to this IP's talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Recent edit to Mattamy Homes
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Mattamy Homes without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! [edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please stop adding redundant categories. There is no need to add the cat for a school type in Canada when the school is already listed in the cat for that school type by province, for example Meters (talk) 20:28, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
Why do you keep adding Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Toronto to Toronto Catholic District School Board? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:47, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Alexander Tschugguel
[edit]Hello there. Please do not remove information that is sourced from Alexander Tschugguel, especially without an edit summary. If you have an issue, please take it to the article's talk page. Thank you. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 22:10, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Alexander Tschugguel, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. - If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at St. Boniface Diocesan High School, you may be blocked from editing. Stop adding redundant cats. I've already explained this to you. If you don't understand than ask. Meters (talk) 01:59, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. You have been undone multiple times. Why are you adding this? Either explain or leave it alone. Please read WP:EW Meters (talk) 04:22, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
