This is correct information. If you look at NYC transit forums r211 thread and kawasaki plant recent pics, you see, up to 4230-34 is built. 1175 is the total cars for now until Option order II, which is correct, but currently it isn't. 1175-205=970. I'm making the site more reliable, stupids. You can't even subtract. 141.151.86.114 (talk) 18:55, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, forums and YouTube are not reliable sources. The number of cars under construction is the same number as cars purchased. The original order was for 535 cars. The Option 1 has also been purchased with 640 more cars. 535 plus 640 is 1175 total cars purchased, not 970. 50.110.255.236 (talk) 01:30, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you subtract 1175 (total cars) by 205 (cars built, you can search them up and there will be pictures), it's 970. If forums and YouTube aren't reliable, Wikipedia isn't reliable either. Use something else. 141.151.86.114 (talk) 02:12, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was going to come here to say the same thing as 50.110.255.236 (in that you need a reliable source for the info), but in fact you are correct. The total number of cars being ordered is 1175, and the number of cars already built is 205 (which is already in the article). The 970 figure should be fine as per our guideline WP:CALC. Sorry about that.
In the future, though, please use an edit summary to explain your edits. Epicgenius (talk) 16:19, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
