@AaqibAnjum: @Huon: @Deepfriedokra: It has been about a few months now since I have been blocked. I have been trying to edit on Urdu Wikipedia but I cannot contribute as much as I would be able to on English Wikipedia. I have thought of many pages I would like to edit in English and have a lot of knowledge on West Yorkshire as I live in this area. I could add valuable information regarding my local area in regards to its people, demographics, as well as its history. Also, the lockdown is taking a toll on my mental health; what better than share valuable knowledge on Wikipedia in this vast amount of spare time?

Please unblock me... 🙏🏼

I agree with AaqibAnjum's suggestion above. If you do make significant constructive edits to another project and then come back and request an unblock (say in a month or two), it would likely be accepted.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:35, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I should be unblocked because I am new to editing on Wikipedia and didn't understand what the user page was. I am also an alumnus of Batley Grammar School and was meant to add my name on the page. Also, I am a dai' which is the reason why I added my name to the page titled "list of dai's". I understood now that this has violated the terms and conditions and apologise. I am very sorry for any disruption caused. I will not do this again as I can evidently see that this seems unnecessary. Please do not block me from editing as I really do want to share some k owledge on Wikipedia.

In conclusion, blocking me is one less person to do editing on this encyclopedia. I rely enjoy editing and would like to apologise and redeem myself for the disruptive behaviour.

You say below that you aren't merely here to write about yourself. I failed to find a single significant edit of yours that didn't just add your name to some article or another, though. I don't see any attempt to "make Wikipedia more accessible" to anybody or to share any information that wasn't about yourself, and I don't see how unblocking you would improve the encyclopedia. @Huon: I have edited by transliterating English texts into Urdu properly and also by adding captions to pictures. I can only edit in English if I am unblocked. Therefore, only if I am unblocked can I edit in English. Please unblock me, I really enjoy editing on Wikipedia and enhancing mine and hopefully others' knowledge.

I have used both unblock templates because I really do not understand how this works. I just want to resume editing on Wikipedia and redeem myself for my disruptions. 😕 😔 ❓

When you are blocked, the only page you can still edit is this user talk page, and the sole reason you're not blocked here as well is to give you an opportunity to contest the block. Your user page is not something you can use for any purpose but a place to provide information about yourself as an editor of Wikipedia. Below there are comments that outline a way forward for you. @Deepfriedokra: @AaqibAnjum: I am new to editing on Wikipedia. Please just inform me if you feel that I am doing something incorrectly. I would really appreciate it if you 'mentor' me if that is the right word. My only purpose is not to add my name to Wikipedia but to impart knowledge and make Wikipedia more accessible to those who speak Arabic and Urdu. I once again apologise for my actions.
