May I get my User Page and its Talk Page Protected?

Hi, Pjarkur. Since I am unable to delete my Talk Page, may I recreate my Wikipedia User Page as well as get both my User Page and Talk Page for my User Page Protected? I just want to prevent Future Vandalism from desecrating my pages. – Garan Lansangan (talk)14:00, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

Hello! I wanted to inform you that there is a discussion going on at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard that you may be interested in. You, I and others have been involved in a contentious editing conflict at Christianity. I posted at the Noticeboard, not in an attempt to report or sanction any editor, but because I truly wish to understand the best course of action per WP policy, and thus gain experience. It appears that I and other well-intentioned editors have differing interpretations of those policies.

You are welcome to weigh in at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard, should you wish to do so. Thank you. Jtrevor99 (talk) 16:54, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Metak (band)

Thanks for the notice, I did not realize it was just a broken template. Yeah, the full article is not A7 worthy. Regards, Jovanmilic97 (talk) 23:25, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Olympics and Guillermo Porteiro

Don't have a care much either way but will point out WP:Boxing does not list Olympics as a default notability. Though, looking at the other sports in the page, I do see the Olympic exception in Track and others, so I can see the logic.

Would suggest that maybe the notability page should have a general catch all for Olympics rather than mentioning it in individual sports, if that's the general consensus and policy. Slywriter (talk) 01:39, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

{{db-person}} can only really be added when the article doesn't make any credible claim of significance, which is a much lower bar than notability. Competing at the highest level is a claim of significance.
You can however propose deletion or start a deletion discussion, but it's almost certain that this article would be kept since it falls under Wikipedia:Notability (sports) (which mentions the Olympics). I do agree with you that our sports articles should all demonstrate significant coverage, our current standards of "compete at a high level and you're in" do result in many short articles created from database rows.

Adding nutshell template to articles

Is adding {{nutshell}} to articles premitted? 36.74.47.79 (talk) 12:02, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

We don't use it for articles, only for some pages in the "Wikipedia:" namespace. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:17, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Anchor template

This appears to be initially going to the correct line, and then for some inexplicable reason quickly dropping a couple of lines down the page, thus hiding the respective line data. DMBanks1 (talk) 23:21, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

Could you point to an example of what you're talking about? If you're talking about fixing incoming section links to Guilford (railway point), British Columbia, you should move the {{anchor}} from the end of the paragraph to the header (so it looks like "=={{anchor|bla bla}}BLA==") – Thjarkur (talk) 01:30, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Hutton, British Columbia includes "Guilford (railway point), British Columbia#CHowarth|Guilford Lumber Co." that initially hits the right Guilford place, then usually drops to 3 lines below the "anchor|CHowarth" line.DMBanks1 (talk) 01:56, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Saint Thorlak Wiki

Hello, I am the user who updated Saint Thorlak’s Wiki page to include information on the movement in progress to investigate his potentiality as Patron Saint of Autistic People, headed up by the group named for him, the Mission of Saint Thorlak. I can provide information needed to verify these statements, as well as rephrase for better clarity, in hope that these very relevant additions may remain on his page. Thank you, Aimee O’ConnellAimeeOConnell (talk) 00:43, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

Has it been mentioned in independant reliable sources? This is a very interesting mission, but I could not find any reliable secondary sources about it. You may want to have a look at our conflict of interest guidelines, feel free to write to me whenever and I'll try to assist. Also happy St Thorlak's Day! – Thjarkur (talk) 01:36, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

Happy St Thorlak's Day to you as well! The point is not to promote the Mission (which is a spiritual effort with no monetization or exchange of goods or services), but that Saint Thorlak has emerged in the 21st century as a patron saint for autistic people. It is the fact that his cause is being investigated at the initiation of the Mission. The Mission need not be mentioned at all but for the source of that information. AimeeOConnell (talk) 01:53, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

(edit conflict)We would still need secondary sources to demonstrate that this has gotten any traction (the mission's website does not demonstrate traction either). If no secondary sources have given it note, than it is not yet notable enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia. – Thjarkur (talk) 02:24, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

These sources don't appear to be reliable sources, we can't cite forums or blogs. Icelandmag is usually an OK source albeit often sloppy, in this case it is quite clearly paraphrasing our Wikipedia article (see citogenesis). I'd recommend suggesting this again in a few years when more secondary sources have discussed his patronage, in the meantime I of course hope you come and contribute to some of our other articles. – Thjarkur (talk) 02:24, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

What you say makes sense and is reasonable. Regrettable, however, that a movement of the people (which is how Catholic saints are regarded; they are not static historical figures, but dynamically present in the faith life of the church) cannot itself be seen as valid until recognized by a secondary source. It is no less true, even if the only source is the people themselves who have brought that aspect into being. More a philosophical point than anything. A similar situation exists with celebrity Wikipedia entries - sources of celebrity information cannot be called academically sound or proven reliable, but are accepted as such by virtue of the collective experience of those following that celebrity. Similarly, those who engage their faith through prayer and example of the saints have a collective experience that is validated by the experience itself. Regardless... Wait we will, till those with the right credentials speak, or a suitable expression can be posted. "He is actively being investigated as patron saint for autistic people" can be verified by individuals conducting the investigation who do not have the benefit of the press corps. Cheers! 2604:6000:1013:8318:C825:6CEE:A8EC:4A2 (talk) 13:13, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

New question: What of this source? https://catholiccourier.com/articles/st-pius-tenth-parish-creates-a-sensory-friendly-worship-space
If you, not affiliated with me, choose to post one sentence to the effect that Thorlak is of present interest as a potential patron saint of autistics, can you not cite this article confirming that he is being investigated? The investigation itself is relevant to his current status within the Catholic community, and the article is from an objective publication. What do you think? 2604:6000:1013:8318:C825:6CEE:A8EC:4A2 (talk) 14:15, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 25 December 2019

Brother this is regarding my edit requests on the page about Ayisha (R.A) (found by the name of "Aisha" on wikipedia). I saw your response, I agree that wikipedia endorses the notion of not being censored. And people may find offense to some of its content. But I would like to refer to the fifth pillar of wikipedia; that there are no "fixed rules", so if someone wants to make wikipedia relevant and enjoyable, he or she can go against the rules that may stop them. I'm not saying against the fixed policy or U.S laws, but against the rules regarding the type of content to be displayed or the "guidelines". Hence, please remove all the images on that page. Religiously and by the laws and regulations of muslim countries, images and paintings portraying any religious figure falls under "blasphemy" not "freedom of expression" and the argument that it is a form of expression is deemed "irrelevant". I hope my arguments will be enough for you and that you will oblige to my requests. Thanking you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darkus shadow (talkcontribs) 09:50, 31 December 2019 (UTC)

The matter of including or excluding images on the pages of Muhammed and Ayisha has been discussed in great lengths before, see Talk:Muhammad/FAQ. The consensus was that Wikipedia wouldn't exclude the images. – Thjarkur (talk) 15:00, 31 December 2019 (UTC)

Thank you so much! for your work! I think this could be a WP:Did You Know and go on the main page with a bit more work. But it has to happen in the next five days. Would you help if you can? A TV show needs a plot section, a production section, and a reception section. I can do the plot and reception parts. But I can't find anything about how it was made for a production section. Just a few sentences would be enough. Thanks again! Peregrine Fisher (talk) 05:09, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

I left in "Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates" for where it goes. If you don't want to, don't worry about it. I can change it to an English source. Your sources were the most interesting, so I put them in for now. Mistaken user, re edit of 'Loren Gray'.

Hi. You messaged me to enquire about an edit I made to the page 'Loren Gray'. I have never attempted to contribute to Wikipedia and no one else uses this computer (I believe). The only reason I'm writing is to ask if this indicates that someone has access to my IP address/account, or is it just a thing that happens now and then. (mistaken IP address.)? Regards. M. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.129.84.109 (talk) 22:45, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Not to worry, as you can see the message I sent was in March, it was directed to the person that made an edits from this IP address back then. Computers share IP addresses (sometimes the entire household or entire school), and mobile internet service providers will have a shared pool of IP addresses that change every time you connect. You can stop getting these unintended messages by creating a Wikipedia account. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:56, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

We do in any case strongly advise against writing an autobiography here. People are usually incapable of writing neutrally about things they are too close to, and your article was promotional even if unintentionally and still needs some editing by an uninvolved editor. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:06, 8 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I have no personal or corporate connection to the company castle placement. I am in high school and interested in learning more about finance. I have been researching boutique investment banks and I came across this interesting investment bank and saw that it wasn't on Wikipedia so I decided to write an article about it. I have no conflicts of interest I simply want to help improve Wikipedia's database. Is there any way I can change what I've written so that it can be beneficial to the community. If not I understand, I was simply trying to help. It is in my opinion that Castle Placement is very notable and should be on wikipedia as it has come across in a lot of my searches. If not, I understand. Thank you for your help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ishan554 (talkcontribs) 01:41, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

I'd recommend leaving this particular article be for a few months, writing an article from scratch is not easy and the sourcing on the article doesn't demonstrate notability. But we of course hope you come and contribute to some of our alredy existing finance articles, there are plenty of them that need improvements. (If you're wondering why I'm suspicious about the Castle Placement article, people generally don't decide to create an article about their favorite boutique investment firm as their 13th edit – and only 8 hours after the original blocked editor got an email about their old draft being deleted). – Thjarkur (talk) 01:54, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

My apologies, I truly knew nothing about whatever you said about the original draft being deleted and I have not had any interaction whatsoever with any employees of Castle Placement. I simply wanted to learn more about writing articles for Wikipedia and i had heard about this bank so I tried to write an article about it. I now understand why you think this might be suspicious but I meant no harm. I tried to model my article around other investment bank's articles to create the best possible article so that wikipedia's users can learn a bit more. Clearly I was mistaken. My apologies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ishan554 (talkcontribs) 02:07, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

Chris Monroe (YouTuber)

Hi, I know you moved my article to draft space, also noting that the article needs a reliable sources. That good but sources I earlier mention them have support my writing. For example, Monroe had kiss his half-sister. This cited many times and the sources have in-depth about the incident. That means it is able to cover the entire topic. They seem like news article. I can volunteer add best sources and you can review it. Does the two sources which you left them is useful or shall I remove them? The Supermind (talk) 13:46, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

I only removed the unreliable sources, The Mirror is a tabloid and is not a particularly good source but it is sometimes usable. What we should leave out is accusations of incest. I'm not quite convinced that coverage in Ladbible and similar clickbait sites is sufficient to demonstrate notability. You can of course move the page to mainspace yourself now that it has some sources, but you might want to see if a reviewer wants to comment on notability. – Thjarkur (talk) 14:35, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

Can I move it myself now or let see other reviewers' comments? The Supermind (talk) 16:26, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

You can move it yourself. I would personally remove all the current sources and try to summarize only what very reliable sources say (not clickbait sources), if such sources don't exist then in my view we should not really have an article on him. – Thjarkur (talk) 17:25, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I want you to notice that WikiMilano uses Wiki name and style but has content which is written by a single association (the "Osservatorio Metropolitano di Milano"), I don't know if this can change the evaluation of the reference. Thanks. --Sciking (talk) 22:09, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Oh I see! I have quite literally never seen a reliable source using the wiki system, much less using "wiki" in its name. I have added your source back to the article. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:19, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Thanks so much for your quick response, could it be anyhow possible to at least put in a mention about the teachings of Jesus, ie. See due weight and no original research, this would need to be something a number of reliable secondary sources discuss. The topic is so large that we just have to try to reflect the major secondary sources. – Thjarkur (talk) 18:47, 3 March 2020 (UTC)

thanks for the pleasant words and advice. I still have some thoughts about what is, and is not a primary source. If a person tells a cartographer information that is put on the map, the informant would be the primary source, in one way of looking at it, the map would be a secondary source of how the material he was told is interpreted. I can say certain documents were cited in Francis Parkman as having been created on a certain date, but I can't make the observation what the documents signify the first use of the Chicago word... I can only give the date and say they exist. I'm going to twist a little on this one. In the Chicago Etymolgy on the Chicago page, the writes quotes himself, and provides no actual source for where he says the Chicago word comes from -- only the language. Thanks again Carl J. Weber (talk) 03:29, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

The map is a primary source in this case. There is no shortage of reliable modern sources that discuss the history of Chicago and when it is first seen on maps, so we have to reflect how they interpret the primary sources and maps. Pointing to old maps implies a conclusion, and so it would be original reserach. – Thjarkur (talk) 13:15, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

About article written by me- Bidarallamma

Dear Þjarkur,

I have written article about a historical Temple Bidarallamma/Renukamba Temple, I have provided Images as well as Google location, Place details. history of the temple as well. Still its moved out from Wikipedia article. After doing so much efforts to put information on Wikipedia if article is not getting published then its every disappointing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raviraj8sk (talkcontribs) 13:16, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello Raviraj8sk, yes it's always disappointing to have someone remove your work, but the problem is that you've been adding unsourced information. Content on Wikipedia needs to be verifiable and I wasn't able to verify your statements. Please see the guide about reliable sources and remember to always cite your sources. Nabeel Ahmad (entrepreneur)

I do not have any financial interest in the article, I am creating it because I watched him on youtube a couple of days ago. The article is sourced to a number of reliable sources, only one of which is the statesman, which may publish PR garbage sometimes, but they label it as such, and I took care not include any press releases etc. Other sources such as IB times, Dailytimes etc are enough to pass WP:GNG. You are right that young entrepreneurs may pay for an article on certain news outlets, but then again, they may publish something real as well. This boy has 5 six figure companies under his belt, and he started from scratch 4 years ago. I think the feature pieces are not mere PR. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 20:50, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

About the Manish Singh (entrepreneur)

With due respect, the article Manish Singh (entrepreneur) created by me qualifies as a biography stub as it is at least supported by two reliable and independent sources: Deccan Chronicle, International Business Standard and even Hindustan (e-newspaper), according these are accepted as reliable sources by many Indian Wikipedia projects here. I do consider that this article was created was out of the blue as i mainly focuses on science and astronomy article. Because, As i was learning on the Internet about Marketing, I was surprised to see a person who is cited so many times lacks a Wikipedia page at a first place hence created an article for him.

Please reconsider the article and its Paid creation tag, if not keeping it in Article space. I would recommend article deletion through discussion.

--PlanetAakash (talk) 01:15, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

  • I'm a bit perplexed by this. The user is supposedly an astronomer who is here to work on a backlog of astronomical bodies lacking articles. Normally I wouldn't grant autopatrolled to these kinds of single-purpose stub creators for exactly this reason, but given the incredibly uncontentious and academic project the user was supposedly here to work on, it seemed to make sense. Needless to say, an immediate shift to creating an article like this is extremely suspicious. However, looking at the article, the subject has been individually featured in-depth in numerous pieces by what appear to be reliable sources. These sources laud the subject as an extraordinary individual, to the point where they read like ads. I see you've dismissed these sources as "paid sources". What do you mean by this? They're sponsored, promotional articles that someone paid these sources to run? I would believe that, but how can you actually tell? From what I'm seeing, there's no indication whatsoever that they're not genuine journalistic pieces. For example, the IBT piece is attributed to the "IBT news desk". I would think "bought" articles would have some disclaimer that they're not vetted and written by the agency itself. Do you know this to not be the case? It's hard for me to tell whether the article is notable or promotional at face value, and whether the sources are legit is essential in determining this. ~Swarm~ {sting} 03:30, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Yeah, ~Swarm~, I do agree that i created this stub out of the blue, as i have stated earlier I am here to majorly focus on astronomy article that too on NGC objects as of now. But, during quarantine, i was learning about Digital marketing, and i surfed the internet i came across this person and though i was dubious about few claims, he seemed to me a fairly legit notable person, from the sources above. Hence, i thought why not create a stub, moreover contribute to Wikipedia overall as well. --PlanetAakash (talk) 04:57, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
    • And just to make things clear, this article was not a paid at all. Out of curiosity to explore Wikipedia further, I created an off-astronomy article. But, this does not mean that i did not read the guidelines of a Biography article. A read all of them in summary form, and then created this. Though, I might have crossed few guidelines but overall notability and independent reliable sourcing for article I kept in mind while creating the same. I sincerely apologise if this article seems as a paid one however that was not my intention. --PlanetAakash (talk) 06:12, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
  • @Swarm: All of these articles about entrepreneurs and up-and-coming marketing consultants use the exact same constellation of sources: DeccanChronicle, International Business Time, Asian Age, The India Saga, and PopDiares via YahooNews. They always use the same image, they all say essentially the same thing, and they are always published on the same day/week (19 July 2019 in this case). The extreme puffery and claims of notability are then never verifiable. If I recall correctly it's Vivek.k.Verma's paid sockfarm that commonly uses this pattern. It is inconceivable that the five aforementioned sources happen to always publish similar puff pieces on obviously non-notable fitness trainers and consultants on the same day (in addition to being used by confirmed paid editors) without them being sponsored content. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:34, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the info, I'll be on the lookout for this going forward. I've also revoked Autopatrolled from the user. Do you think the similarity strong enough for a CU check? ~Swarm~ {sting} 05:16, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
It's a stretch. The last version of this article was made by another spammer. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:15, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Seems like you are mistaken Thjarkur. The Manish Singh (producer) is a actual personality in India. He is a film producer has produced many films earning more than 50 Crores INR. It seems obvious that someone likely to spammer has vandalised the actual article, and then made it for Manish Singh - Enterpreneur. If you can in someway, look into last article, please check if it was for Manish Singh (producer) before vandalism. PlanetAakash (talk) 15:26, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
I feel really bad that i fell into the whole spam thing on Wikipedia. I did'nt knew about all things happening on Wiki. Nevertheless, it was a learning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PlanetAakash (talkcontribs) 15:29, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Not to worry, there are far more strange norms here than anyone could be expected to know from the start. Actually turns out it was I who tagged Manish Singh (producer) for deletion, I don't remember it well but I'm fairly certain it was the same article as this one that the subject boasts about on his Instagram. I'm going to ask an administrator to see if it was originally a page about the producer. – Thjarkur (talk) 15:43, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Sure. Please ask an admin to look into this. I am like 90% sure It would have been vandalised. Thanks for support. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PlanetAakash (talkcontribs) 15:51, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

  • @Swarm,Thjarkur: I must confess that i did not checked the publishing dates of the sources cited by me while creating article, and was not familiar with the fact that these scam patterns happens on Wikipedia. In no way, I wanted to tarnish the Wikipedia integrity through this. This is an honest mistake and I accept it. Had i been familiar to such scams prior, I would have not contributed with such an article. I must refrain myself to NGC stubs. PlanetAakash (talk) 12:39, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

about an article you moved to draftspace

Hello

I am new to wikipedia and I am not aware about the policies. However, this particular article is written by a person who knows me and works for me out of love. I do not know if this qualifies him to write an article or not. Also, it seems that there are quite a few links/ references in the article. However, if they are not enough, I can provide with more articles. Now, I dont know if there is any one else in the world who would like to create a page for me or not. As far as I know, there are people who are paid to create pages for themselves. I am not paying any one as this person has done it on it's own.

What can be done now?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tejasdeoskar (talkcontribs) 12:08, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello Tejasdeoskar, yes it was precisely because it was written by someone too familiar with the subject that it was moved to drafts, there were so many details not verified in the cited sources (in addition to none of the sources containing significant coverage). It's recommended that you submit articles through Articles for Creation if you have a conflict of interest. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:18, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

You’ve commented on my request to add “Dears” to the List of fandom names 29 March

If you could point to sources demonstrating this is notable, then that would be could. – Thjarkur (talk) 09:14, 29 March 2020 (UTC)”. I added some sources (the next post on their talk page). Not sure though can they be considered “reliable secondary” or not, I am new to Wikipedia, sorry. Could you check, please? If not - could you give me some example, what would be considered so in this situation? Thank you in advance. Vera Kapinos (talk) 01:59, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Drinks Group Holdings, Ltd.

Thanks Pjarkur for stopping by and explaining the reasons for the proposed deletion. Very clear and helpful. I will look into the points you mentioned within the 7 days and get back to you.

I spend a lot of time reading the Help files, getting squared eyed. :-) so my apologies for not getting it right this time.

Not to worry, there are far more "guidelines" here than anyone could be expected to know from the start, you just slowly get used to them the more you edit :) – Thjarkur (talk) 16:03, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
:-) Thank you. By the way, I've edited the article. Is this better? Also I've removed the deletion notice just in case you don't read this message before the page is deleted.
Kind regards - Pauline17138 (talk) 16:24, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
The text of the article is fine, the only problem is the lack of independant sources which would demonstrate notability. – Thjarkur (talk) 16:39, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
I see. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thanks. --Pauline17138 (talk) 18:39, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi Pjarkur, I've updated with a new entry and reference number 2 and 3. Does this pass? :-) --Pauline17138 (talk) 18:32, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Not quite since this is neither significant coverage nor coverage of the company itself. But I would just let it sit for a little while, the article would probably not survive a deletion discussion if someone were to nominate it since available sources are so scarce, so I would just focus on other articles instead. – Thjarkur (talk) 19:17, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

No problem. This process has been really good for me to learn how things work. I've taken your advice and contributed to a couple of articles recently, just a couple of sentences here and there. Will do more. Thanks for all you help. :-) --Pauline17138 (talk) 11:09, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi - it looks like you moved this page, but not to what the consensus and source-supported title suggests. Could you put it to CCTV Headquarters? Thanks. Bangabandhu (talk) 12:53, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

I was only mass-reverting another editor who had moved quite a few pages that had open move discussions, I don't have an opinion on this one. The move discussion will be closed in a few days. – Thjarkur (talk) 13:04, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello

Hi. Thanks for reviewing the speedy deletion request. this guy uses the draft for advertisement and cheating people by taking money to make pages on Wikipedia in order to Authenticate Facebook pages. I have evidence that he take money for writing articles about living people bibliography. Regards--Avicenno (talk) 23:48, 13 April 2020 (UTC)

I see what you mean, haven't seen someone link to a draft article on their social media profile before. I think the only way to get it deleted would be to open a Miscellany for Deletion discussion. Should in any case be less effective as an ad now that it's tagged as a draft. – Thjarkur (talk) 00:07, 14 April 2020 (UTC)

FlightReacts

I don't think that FlightReacts' wikipedia page should be deleted because I believe that FlightReacts is notable through both his youtube channel and his rapping career. He several videos with millions of views on his youtube channel which has over 3 million subscribers and has 1 rap video with a million views on youtube another recently released rap video is fast approaching 1 million views as well as several songs on spotify with hundreds of thousands of plays each. I'm saying all this because I believe that he is notable and I made his article because I was surprised he didn't already have one. He also has another youtube channel with around 2 million subscribers that I can add onto his wikipedia page. Should I find more independent sources for his article? Ericfood (talk) 18:10, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Very well, I've removed the proposed deletion tag (it's only used for uncontroversial deletions). But even though he has a few million views, he isn't notable by Wikipedia's standards since independant sources haven't written about him yet. – Thjarkur (talk) 18:13, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

"Butterflies" (Gabbie Hanna song)

Just to point out that the NZ Hot Singles chart is not the main New Zealand chart... it's the equivalent of the "bubbling under" chart of songs that might be a hit one day. And as you can see, it didn't even chart particularly highly on this chart, so it got nowhere near making the official NZ Singles chart. I still think the song is not notable and should be redirected to the artist's article. Richard3120 (talk) 19:23, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, assumed it was the national chart. Have restored the redirect. – Thjarkur (talk) 19:32, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Slight correction... the Hot Singles chart is described as "the 40 fastest-moving tracks by sales, streams and airplay". But it's still not the official top 40 singles chart, and I'm not sure what "fastest-moving" means relative to "best-selling", which is what the main chart uses. You'll see that it wasn't me but another editor who reverted that change. Bunch of PR articles

I recently came across a bunch of articles that read like PR pieces of non-notable people. I sent most of them to AFd, but three require the opinion of an experienced editor as to whether they should be deleted, merged, or just left alone. Can you take a look at them and just give me your opinion on my talk page? Miss Pakistan World, Sonia Ahmed, Mrs. Pakistan World. these pageants may be named Miss Pakistan etc, but they are not endorsed by anyone or recognized by anyone, they are a private venture, held in Canada, and used to be called, Miss Canada Pakistani or Pakistani Canada I think. I tried to search for the notability guideline on pageants but could not find it anywhere, so if you could drop a link to that as well. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 09:49, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

These types of pageants are routinely deleted, there are no specific guidelines about them apart from WP:GNG. Could only find this old discussion from WikiProject Beauty Pageants about the notability of competitors. Pageants attract a lot of fancruft (as you've seen) so I have never even attempted to get involved with these pages. Miss Pakistan World and Soni Ahmed were both deleted in 2008. It seems that Sonia might just pass WP:GNG, the pageants themselves do have some coverage (including in the NYTimes[2]) but most of it is minor. I'd say these are all borderline notable but would probably be kept at AfD. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:49, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
@User:Þjarkur would a merger be possible/recommended? MistyGraceWhite (talk) 11:38, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
If Mrs. Pakistan World is a subset or offshot of Miss Pakistan World (which it appears to be) then that makes sense, but the author will oppose it so it may not be worth the effort. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:18, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Magic Bytes

Hello Þjarkur, I need help with creating an article for Magic Bytes. I recently received the March/April 2020 edition of 'Amiga Future Magazine' with a 5-page article about Magic Bytes and Thomas Meiertoberens. It's not available online because you would have to pay to order it. This company has an incredible history and some of that pre-dates Wikipedia and the Internet. What should I do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GrantMaureen (talkcontribs) 20:26, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello GrantMaureen, it is perfectly fine to cite sources that aren't available online, all that matters is that someone could in theory find the source in a library somewhere to verify the information. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:10, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, I included the citation from the magazine and found another one in a book. --GrantMaureen (talk) 23:22, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

And the institution is not-for-profit is imparting quality education - "IT use in Medicine" for last 13 years. Many of the professionals from across the globe have got quality education on very low fees. Please refer link: http://www.ehcfsmi.edu.in/alumni.htm and they all are satisfied with knowledge gained. Please refer to link: http://www.ehcfsmi.edu.in/studentsfeedback.htm The course helps low income group professionals who do not afford the high fees world over. The organisation eHCF School of Medical Informatics do not promote themselves on any media for getting more and more students for the course. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atharhaq (talkcontribs) 19:45, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

I can see that the course exists and has noble goals, but it is not notable enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia since secondary sources have not written extensively about it. However, if you are opposed to the deletion of the page you are free to remove the proposed deletion tag from it. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:18, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Review 31

Hello Þjarkur. Thank you for moving Review 31 into the drafts section. Though I am a COI contributor I have added additional citations from reliable and independent publications including The Times Literary Supplement, The Irish Times, the New Statesman and our fellow online literary review 3:AM Magazine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FSGCalthorpe (talkcontribs) 17:19, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

Retrieving a deleted page

hello, you've deleted my page under the COI guidelines. I do need the content that was in that page, how can I get that back? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hugo3055 (talkcontribs) 15:04, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello, my page was deleted which I understand the reason behind, however, I would like to retrieve the material written on this page, please can you explain to me how I can retrieve the text back? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hugo3055 (talkcontribs) 15:30, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello Hugo3055, since Deb has denied your request, I think the people over at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion will occasionally email people their spam articles if they say they're not going to publish them again here. I'm not quite sure about that though. – Thjarkur (talk) 15:56, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi Þjarkur. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 21:49, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

Article you approved deleted

Hi. Yesterday you approved my creation of a Political positions of Kamala Harris article. I was admittedly very pleased by that, but a short time ago it was deleted by Drmies. I was very confused by this initially, especially when he described it as a "useless split" despite there being over 2 dozen political positions of American politicians articles on the site already and his description of its contents as having "no encyclopedic value" despite the majority of the article still being composed of material that had been on the Kamala Harris article for at least several months without attempts by him or other users to remove it from there. He has in the past deleted contributions I've made to the Ro Khanna and Mitch McConnell articles (30 bytes on the latter, which caused another user to reinstate some of it because neither of us believed every single thing I wrote was of "no encyclopedic value".) so he has a history of mass deleting my contributions to the site. I can't assume good faith when my contributions that are in precedent with the site (as the political positions article was) are deleted. This was a mean-spirited, hostile rebuke of my attempts to be productive and I can simply stop editing the site again if the article isn't reinstated. Informant16 03:05, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Well, it was time to either split that section off or trim it, I would personally have trimmed it but see nothing wrong with the split. I know it always feels that way when you have an editor opposing you, but I really wouldn't take his edits as being mean-spirited. Trimming articles to keep them concise and on topic is (in my view) just as important as adding content to articles. Most articles on American politics could probably be cut in half. – Thjarkur (talk) 16:00, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Part of the reason I barely use talk pages to interact is because I'll write something that another user will cherry-pick through (select maybe 2 or 3 sentences out of six to respond to). It's not my "feeling" that making a political positions article for an American politician is in precedent with the site and I can show (if you wish) multiple reverts by him where he deletes paragraphs worth of material because WP:JUSTDONTLIKEIT. But it's fine if you don't want to acknowledge the validation of my claims. I'm just not going to be harassed for trying to help this site anymore. Informant16 17:03, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Sources

Hi Thjarkur, Yes I'm quite new here so I don't know the rules very well yet and was experimenting, apparently without much success. Maliebaan was a red link on a page, which I had understood was a request to create a page about it. But I see now it was really a request to create a page about the street in Utrecht, not about the word itself. So your link to the medieval French game is also not correct. Also Maliebaan is not the game but only the location where it was played. But it's probably best to forget about it.

The other text you have removed, about the derivation of the name of the Beira lake, contained a link to a reproduction of the painting by Steiger which shows the sluice with the name 'De Beer' on it. I understand this is not enough as a reference. What reference would be needed exactly? Would a Dutch-English dictionary with the translation of 'beer' suffice, or should there be an article, book or website in which this derivation itself can be found? And should it be in English?

And what exactly counts as a reliable source? The same wikipedia page states that De Beer was probably the name of a Dutch or even a Portuguese person who built the sluice and put his name on it, which is obviously, or let's say very probably, a mistake made by people who don't know that beer simply means sluice. Several Dutch cities still have a dam or sluice like that which is called the Beer. But this mistake does have references. One is to a book or article that I'm not able to find (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:BookSources/955-8892-33-5) and the other is to an article on a popular website that contains more mistakes...

--Zapata1000 (talk) 13:52, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

A reliable source for the etymology of the lake would be a published book, a journal article, or in the worst case newspaper articles that specifically discuss the etymology of the lake. Adding sluice would require a book/journal/article that connects the lake and sluice. We could also only mention that it is "more plausible" if the source says that it is the more plausible theory.
In some cases there aren't any high quality sources and we're stuck with these articles from tourist magazines. They're obviously not ideal, but are allowed. If you doubt the accuracy of the article you can add {{better source needed}} to the paragraph. I have to say, I find your theory to be convincing, but it would still need sources. That other book is in Sinhalese and only exists in Sri Lankan libraries, so it will be difficult to verify (although it is still theoretically verifiable).
If Maliebaan has some additional history, by all means do recreate that article (you can go to the History tab and reinstate your version, but it would be best to add sources as well). I just noticed that the Dutch version of the article was connected to Jeu de mail on Wikidata.
Thjarkur (talk) 14:16, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

Actually the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Lankan_place_name_etymology contains many statements that have no reference. A random and typical example: 'A name like "Grand Pass", a northern suburb of Colombo, is the English rendering of "Grande Passo", the name of a ferry established by the Portuguese, to cross the Kelani River.'

Now how do we know there was such a ferry?

But I will leave my info on the meaning of 'beer' on the history page and leave it to the page writers to use it or not. If I ever find a reference I'll come back and add it.

--Zapata1000 (talk) 17:10, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

That information is hopefully verifiable in the sources listed at the bottom, but if it's not then Wikipedia relies on other editors to fix it. If you ever start fact-checking some of our articles you'll find that astonishingly many of them are just factually incorrect, even those that include references. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:22, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Article for deletion - changes and reconsideration

Dear Þjarkur

You nominated my article Marcel Cartier for deletion, arguing that it did not adhere to the WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO criteria. In the past five days since then I have made many edits to achieve the correct criteria and in the process quadrupled the content on the page. Would you reconsider by taking a second look at the page? If you still feel that it does not meet the criteria then I hope you can tell me how these issues. BulgeUwU (talk) 19:12, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Dark web

Hi there! Thanks for your answer about my submission:)

I wanted to state that although the dark web doesn't have traditional search engines, it is still important to state that there are search engines which you can search with and well, while they do not do as good work as Google and the rest it is still important for people to know this information. I totally agree about the source provided and we can try and find others, but it seems quite legit in terms of the value the readers should have and gives a nice review, and "deep" enough for a user to go and keep exploring on their own.

Moving to draft page

Thanks so much for your input! I do not have a conflict of interest, I'm simply quarantined with extra time so am back contributing to pages from years prior including donating money to Wikipedia to add to the diversity of coverage as per the Wiki bio project note to do so, so I appreciate any input you can provide. I do not see any sponsored pages in the links though. If you mean because the Washington Post goes to a subscription page, most of the leading publications online do now so there's no getting around that, but that has nothing to do with the individual subject matter. I will make edits per your suggestions and will continue to try my hand at other pages while I have the time to do so. Thank you. Stay safe out there — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eagleeyeeditor (talkcontribs) 22:06, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Notable subjects

Hi thanks for your input. Just curious as to why Dr. Pemmasani wouldn't rank as notable when the persons below (examples from hundreds on Wiki that are similar) who do the exact same thing as he does and/or have the same level of notoriety in terms of business success and impact on society are on Wiki unchallenged? In this case, this doctor literally created an entire new method that revolutionized online learning--there are literally doctors on the front lines fighting coronavirus who are on social media referencing how they used UWorld to brush up on knowledge to prepare them for the field.

When I ran this by another editor during our Wikithon they felt he would fit under education and the bio project. Since we Wiki editors wouldn't have the bandwidth to know the impact of everyone who exists, and this is a space to add to the diversity of coverage in comparing they are the same essentially in terms of scope and impact of the work. I understand the other commentary made however and appreciate your input, but there are hundreds of pages of similar if not lesser examples that were simply edited vs deleted. Just trying to obtain clearer information to proceed since it's challenging when the advice and examples aren't consistent.

I described him as being "not majorly notable by Wikipedia's standards" because secondary sources haven't written much about him. Although I've heard about UWorld and would have assumed that it was a notable company, I also couldn't find any significant independent coverage of it. – Thjarkur (talk) 13:25, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Cedar Hill ISD

Hello,

I am writing to you this evening to discuss the Cedar Hill ISD Wikipedia Page. We wish to have factual, recent and relevant information on this page, but every time we attempt to do so, you change it.

Listen, we don't know each other, and from what I can understand you know very little about our community in North Texas. But there is information on here from 1997 that many of our community members find offensive. In addition, it is not relevant today, and it does not provide pertinent information about the District.

Let's work together to ensure that current, relevant information is provided about Cedar Hill ISD.

Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:DEF0:C00:3D8B:33EF:C704:3EFC (talk) 02:24, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

You're currently adding material that belongs in a brochure rather than an encyclopedia (would you expect to read "Cedar Hill ISD is the leading choice in education" in Britannica?) It's best to summarize what reliable secondary sources say. If you have a conflict of interest, have a look at WP:COI and submit an edit request on the articles talk page. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:35, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Ok, if you think the information belongs in a brochure, revise it. But how can you honestly say that offensive and outdated information from 20+ years ago still belongs on the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:DEF0:C00:4489:A825:51C5:A356 (talk) 18:19, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

It should not go anywhere at all unless independent reliable sources give it significant coverage. On Wikipedia we don't assemble unflattering quotes people have posted on their Twitter feeds, we only summarize what independent sources have said about people. See WP:BLP. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:11, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

The first is probably an all right source, the second one is a self-published source and so isn't usable. It's usually better to merge stuff into the history section instead of splitting controversies into their own sections. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:24, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Question

How page in made a semi protected page and who decides it. Is it the admin that decides the protection of page. Gagan Kaushal (talk) 15:14, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

Yes, when you make a request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection then an administrator will have a look and decide whether protection should be applied. The guidelines about protection are at Wikipedia:Protection policy. – Thjarkur (talk) 15:18, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

I went to your given link to request protection but i was not able to follow up with the syntax to give a request. To be honest i wasn't able to understand anything at all that how to file a request. Can you by any means request the admin to protect this page. There has been numerous attempts by new accounts to give false information. This could either be because of illinformation or they are doing it purposely. This page is country related so by any means they shouldn't be able to misguide or be ill-informed about a country or damage country's image. Gagan Kaushal (talk) 03:43, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

I'll keep the page in my watchlist and I'll request protection for it if it sees some more vandalism. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:32, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Take a look at edit done on 8 june 2020 at 10:31 by 185.221.69.46 on my recommend page of foreign exchange reserves by changing the previously defined data & later at 10:34 he even deleted the reference. This is just another example of vandalism on this wiki page. Gagan Kaushal (talk) 14:15, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

I had seen that edit and spot checked a few of their citations, they all seemed to be correct and verified in the source. Why do you think their edit was incorrect? – Thjarkur (talk) 14:24, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

I am not saying that the reference is wrong he misinterpreted the blance sheet. If you download the pdf link it will show 10,362 but the totat reserves is 16k in this pdf. In this wiki page net reserves are shown there is another page whose link is also given in this page i.e. List of countries by foreign-exchange reserves(excluding gold reserves). But the edit done by the user is also not valid for the second page. Because in this page we show total amount of reserves the edit done by him is not valid. If i am taking about total reserves it means every kind of reserves under the central bank of the country whether its imf positions, gold, currency assets, loan provided to private bank. You can also check imf or tradeeconomics official website the will also show you the total reserves hence supporting my point. In the list of countries if you go to japan reference & you read the balance sheet you will see that they have also included loans in their total reserves which is the second point that makes the user edit wrong. I think he is misunderstanding about the total reserves concept. Gagan Kaushal (talk) 03:20, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

I see. Could you revert their change then? I had noticed that almost no IP edits on that page are ever reverted, so it was difficult to notice if any contributions were unwanted. This type of misunderstanding isn't really vandalism, and usually this can be limited by adding hidden comments in the source giving explanations. – Thjarkur (talk) 09:30, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

I used hidden comments but the user still changed those figures & changed it to 10k from 16k and even deleted the hidden comment. Gagan Kaushal (talk) 02:58, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

Well, not on my equipment. The discussion topics show as: •Photograph used in this topic •Re-added sequence on Floyd's body dragged •White police officers washing the feat of black BLM activists, apologising and asking for forgivness

The topic was in-between 2nd and 3rd topic. What's with that? Has its viewability changed? Pasdecomplot (talk) 09:53, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

I looked through the history but I couldn't see anything as having been removed, your discussion is still there [4]. Try looking at the page on a desktop computer, sections are collapsed on mobile devices. – Thjarkur (talk) 10:14, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

If it's collapsed, that was a change that happened after 15h yesterday. Haven't had this issue since joining. Pasdecomplot (talk) 10:26, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

I understand defaults, but defaults are programmed. Very curious why mobile version is triggering collapses after not doing so for 12+/- days. I asked RD, copied discussion for brevity. Thanks so much for the help! Pasdecomplot (talk) 10:55, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Roko Malani (1879–1933), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

New Page Reviewer newsletter June 2020

Hello Þjarkur,

Your help can make a difference

NPP Sorting can be a great way to find pages needing new page patrolling that match your strengths and interests. Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.

Google Adds New Languages to Google Translate

In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.

Discussions and Resources
  • A discussion on handling new article creation by paid editors is ongoing at the Village Pump.
  • Also at the Village Pump is a discussion about limiting participation at Articles for Deletion discussion.
  • A proposed new speedy deletion criteria for certain kinds of redirects ended with no consensus.
  • Also ending with no change was a proposal to change how we handle certain kinds of vector images.

Use of given name v patronymic in English articles on Icelanders

Hi Þjarkur, As an Icelandic wikipedian who follows the English-language stuff, I wanted to raise a point that perhaps we might take to some template/rules conversations about the use of given names versus patronymics for English-language pages on well known Icelanders.

The discussion cam up because I glanced back at Kári Stefánsson's entry to the other day and saw that a busybody had changed the Icelandic name reference at the top of the page and then changed every reference to 'Stefansson' to 'Kári,' with the accent. It now reads very strangely in English, it frankly sounds childish, and does not refer to him in the way he is known outside of Iceland. I brought this up to the user, Qwerty something or other, who cited a template saying that all Icelanders should be referred to by their given names even on their English pages. The template does indeed say this, but I think it is profoundly wrong to do so. Ólafur Elíasson is known as Eliasson, without the accent, never Olafur (and certainly not Ólafur); Eiður Smári is, perhaps to his own chagrin, simply Gudjohnsen to Chelsea fans and the world; Laxness has never been referred to as Halldór. If you searched the internet for their by their Icelandic given names, with accents, you will never find them. Björk is an artist and turned her unusual Icelandic name into her brand, so is the exception that proves the rule.

This is not of great importance but it is a question of putting things right. The template is serving some strange pedantic or misguided nationalist interest, not the interest of talking about noteworthy things and people as they are known.

I think perhaps you mentioned at some point that you had been involved in discussions on that template. Perhaps this is a can of worms you don't want to reopen, but I would welcome any thoughts!

Thanks and b kv,

Lehmansson (talk) 11:18, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Well I think it's just normal pedantry, it's undoubtedly "more correct" in the context of Icelandic and Wikipedia focuses far more than any other publication on being correct in the local context. In all of the examples you cite, the subjects are using their patronyms as the equivalent of a stage name, and as Wikipedia almost always refers to people by their stage name, going against that would be a hypercorrection in my view. I'm a bit too lazy these weeks to start a formal discussion on this, I do think an exception for "stage names" should be mentioned in the Manual of Style but you're unlikely to get a consensus for anything else. My main gripe with these templates is that they don't need to be at the top of the articles, would be quite enough to have {{spanish name}}, {{chinese name}} and the rest as a footnote. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:02, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. I see that we are on the same page, as it were. It does indeed seem like garden variety pedantry, growing well in these summer months. I imagined that you might not have time or energy for this now, but i would be happy to join forces with you to sort this out better when your thirst for battle revives. I will see whether my own anti-pednatry instincts can be kept under control, as I really don't want to get into a spat with this guy unless I have to!

Kv,

you deleted my link on the Hekla site

Hi Þjarkur - you deleted my link :

Hekla: Revision history

17:20, 25 June 2020 PeterRYV talk contribs 51,543 bytes +109 → External links undo Tag: Visual edit: Switched

WHY ?

- This is no blog - it is a static website and finished

- You see many pictures on the way up to Helka and many from the top - no other website here shows such pictures

- There is a video from the top - no other website here shows a video form the top

- ... and yes - it is ham-radio related - but may be also interesting for other people

Best regards

Hello PeterRYV, Wikipedia is somewhat selective about what kinds of links it wants to display under External Links. The website is a self-published page (it was in that regard that I was referring to it as a blog; we rarely link to personal pages (WP:ELNO)) that has a gallery but doesn't give much additional information to the reader. – Thjarkur (talk) 18:58, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

ok - thank you for the info ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by PeterRYV (talkcontribs) 19:04, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
