Reem N. Bsaiso created Jordan’s first ICT in Education Strategy and national training, ran WB initiatives, trained millions, nominated Entrepreneur of the Year by Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, member of UNESCO innovative financing team for the spread of education & innovation [[1]]. Through her work she has achieved the training of 4 million students in the MENA region [[2]].

She is a social entrepreneur and senior international consultant on Knowledge Economy (KE) Policies focusing on human capital[[3]]. She is an expert in merging Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in education on policy and scalable national, regional and global levels through ICT-based KE and entrepreneurial skills training schemes [[4]].

Reem excelled in sciences as she conducted fundamental university-based research. She was the only student in Virginia Tech post graduate class to perfect virtual reality in 1995 before resuming her post graduate studies in merging ICT in education. She excelled in creating bi-lateral partnerships between Jordan and the EU (2001) and created Jordan’s first ICT in Education Strategy, at the Ministry of Education through a UNDP/GoJ knowledge-based economy model. She succeeded in irradiating ICT literacy among Jordan’s public schools teachers, merged ICT in education and establish supportive technical backbone rendering a success story across the MENA. Soon she was part of Jordan National Agenda Prime Ministerial Team. In 2007, she ran a World Bank initiative in the MENA region to spread ICT in education and knowledge economy skills [[5]], and was soon entrusted to run the program internationally, that reached more than four million students, overseeing 35 countries worldwide. By then she was selected as one of the leading entrepreneurs in Jordan and joined the President Obama Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship. She was nominated as the Entrepreneur of the Year by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship in partnership with the WEF. She participated in a WB/EIB study on knowledge transfer channels and became active in supportive schemes to women and youth such as the UNESCO [[6]] – Paris innovative financing team, advisory board member of the United Planet (Boston), Global Thinkers Forum (UK) and Professional for Humanity (Africa). Reem is still active in researching knowledge models, working with different countries on ICT-based Knowledge Economy & Entrepreneurial Skills polices and models. Reem has practiced and excelled at scalable educational models, she believes in education and innovation of women and youth and her dream is to continue to spread and harness knowledge-economy models for human capital within enabling policies for entrepreneurs.

Reem has been nominated by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship in partnership WEF as Social Entrepreneur of the Year for MENA 2010. She has been invited by the US DoS, in cooperation with UNESCO & ALECSO as Government Expert in the Development of Open Educational Resources in the MENA. She has also been selected to take part in the UNESCO Advisory Panel of Experts on Debt Swaps and Innovative Financing to the Secretary General (35 C/Resolution 12, General Conference, 2009); Advisory Board of the Global Thinkers Forum; Board Member of United Planet (Boston) focused on building "A community beyond borders"; and Board of Directors of Professionals For Humanity.
