The wikiwords are words related to the handling of wiki collaboration or Wikipedia efforts. The wikiwords help to explain behavior and aspects of wiki concepts.
Some wikiwords I use are:
- wiki-fanatic: excessive, intense behavior fostered by the wiki environment, where such behavior would be rare elsewhere, due to limits on OCD.
- wiki-formatting: the way image and text are typeset, with word-wrapping around tables and such.
- wiki-psycho: abnormal, psychotic behavior within a wiki effort, which tends to generate an en-psycho-pedia.
- wiki-rationalizing: using any excuse to justify making an edit, regardless of priorities (there is no end to rationalizing because any viewpoint is possible: not enough pictures versus too many pictures crowding text; page too long versus "Wikipedia is not paper"; text too small to view versus large text is overpowering; tiny images too small to see detail versus large images crowd the cellfone browser; page displays too slow versus "Don't worry about performance" (WP:PERF); etc.
- wiki-spastic: the unusual sub-culture of peculiar ways some things are done in wiki efforts (examples: the way brackets are wrapped during wiki-edit inside a word, rather than treat the whole as a solid string of characters "should[be]nonwrapped"; also, putting titles in lowercase letters; or, an edit-interface that doesn't allow search/replace editing).
- wiki-stalking: following people through their user-page, user-talk or contributions to pre-state their likely opinions or hack their busiest articles, as retaliation for their earlier edits or comments.
- wikitable - any table using the brace-bar notation "{|...|}" to generate a table, not just tables which specify the keyword "class=wikitable".
- wiki-warping - skewing article contents beyond reality, fostered by wikis that allow users to edit many files, reformat images, or alter important files, without any sanity checks.
- Weakipedia: the viewpoint that Wikipedia articles contain hollow or weak levels of information about important subjects.
