Percona Server for MongoDB [1] is a free and open source drop-in replacement for MongoDB Community Edition, created by Percona. It offers all the features and benefits of MongoDB Community Edition, plus additional enterprise-grade functionality. Percona Server for MongoDB is a distribution of the NoSQL document-oriented database MongoDB. It requires no changes to existing MongoDB applications or code. The open source code is available at github, and is based on the original MongoDB fork TokuMX acquired by Percona in 2015. Percona Server for MongoDB 3.6 includes four storage engine options: WiredTiger (default), MMAPv1, Percona Memory Engine, and MongoRocks (deprecated). Percona Memory Engine is an open-source in-memory engine which is a configuration of WiredTiger produced by Percona, and MongoRocks is a storage engine for MongoDB based on the [2]RocksDB key-value store, optimized for fast storage.
