Birmingham Magistrates Court is a new £80m landmark building in Birmingham, United Kingdom, currently in the design stage. It is located on the Masshouse redevelopment site, in the Eastside area of the city.

Design is being undertaken by architects Denton Corker Marshall with engineers Mott MacDonald providing structural, building services, façade and fire engineering services[1]. This is the same team which designed Manchester Civil Justice Centre, also for Her Majesty's Courts Service.

The 15 storey building will have a floor area of approximately 20,000m² and will house 24 magistrates courts. The facade is envisaged as a flowing wave like combination of alumminum and glass, with no sharp corners. This is somewhat similar to the famous facade at the Birmingham branch of Selfridges at the Bull Ring shopping centre.

The building is expected to be completed and occupied before the end of 2012 [2].
