A student at the University of Southern Indiana, I am learning how to be a Journalist. Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN, I was surrounded by a variety of media outlets, from the Indianapolis Star to WTHR-TV. As an avid reader and viewer, I have known for a long time that I wanted to be a journalist; hopefully one of the great ones. My idols are Anderson Cooper and Nicholas Kristof. I'm in my sophomore year at USI. I am a reporter for the campus newspaper, The Shield and will be running for news editor next semester. I recently decided to minor in International Studies (an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students for the multicultural world in which we live.) My ultimate goal as a journalists is to expose global injustices.
