September 2020[edit]

  1. Babu Mohan Lal Verma nominated at RM; New name: Mohan Lal Verma 13:29, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: "Babu" appears to be a title of affection, like Gandhi's "Bapu".

October 2020[edit]

    • Reason: Officially renamed [1]. --
  2. Category:Districts of Province No. 5 nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Districts of Lumbini Province 13:10, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Officially renamed [2]. Requesting for all subcategories of the main category for the renamed province, Lumbini Province. --

  8. Category:Province No. 5, Nepal geography stubs nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Lumbini Province geography stubs 16:26, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Officially renamed[8]. --
  9. Bagmati Pradesh nominated at RM; New name: Bagmati Province 03:37, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: The use of "Pradesh" for named provinces is the status-quo, though unnamed provinces use the word "Province" (e.g. Province No. 1). Yesterday, we saw a mass move by one user from "Pradesh" to "Province"[9] which have all been reverted. The prevailing argument for "Pradesh" is that it is part of the proper name in the native language, which is true, and that we do have articles like Uttar Pradesh which would never be moved to Uttar Province[10][11]. In my own search, I found that, when writing in English, sources are not religious about preserving the "Pradesh" in case of Nepalese provinces, instead preferring the loose translation, "Province" (sometimes "province"), which has more or less become the common name. For this reason, I am proposing that Nepalese provinces be named with the English translation usage of "Foo Province" (P capitalised as it is the translation of the proper name "Foo Pradesh", sources also prefer capitalisation, and it is also consistent with other geographic titles on Wikipedia such as "Foo River", and "Foo Districts" for Nepalese districts.)
  10. Wikipedia:Eng Abdirahman Galde nominated at RM (technical); New name: Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk/Archives/2020 September 28 06:04, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Test or vandalism
  11. Category:Bagmati Pradesh nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Bagmati Province 01:48, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Renamed by consensus[12], so stable for the foreseeable future. Thanks!

February 2021[edit]

  1. List of governors-general of Nepal: nominated at RfD; Target: List of British resident ministers in Nepal (notified); notified Sing 2020 (talk · contribs) 04:05, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Completely different things. Governor-generals were actual governors with executive power over their domain. Nepal never had one of those. Resident ministers could rise to "powers behind the throne" in states where they were allowed to. In Nepal's case, resident ministers were no more than ambassadors who were confined to the estates they were assigned to live in.

June 2021[edit]

  1. National TV: nominated at RfD; Target: Centrul Național Media (notified); notified Dan69en (talk · contribs) 05:14, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think this title is too generic to redirect to a specific channel. Incoming links agree.
  2. Krishna Kumar Rai, Dharan: nominated at RM (technical); New name: Krishna Kumar Rai 02:38, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: The target has a redirect. That may be why this article was created with the place dab ", Dharan" which is not how we title people.

July 2021[edit]

  1. Draft:Death of Tristyn Bailey: nominated at MfD; notified Fl0145 (talk · contribs) 12:56, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:BLP concerns. The victim and the alleged perpetrator, both minors and both covered by WP:BLP. Especially fails WP:BLPCRIME, and again, it's a minor. The topic seems to fail WP:NOTNEWS anyway. Regardless, I am of the opinion that a reasonable article/draft can not be created until the conviction is secured. I note that sources are predominantly local, and WP:THESUN. Sample: Crystal Smith, Aiden Fucci's mother, turned herself in to St. Johns County Sheriff's Office on June 5, 2021 and was subsequently arrested for tampering with evidence after washing bloody clothes Aiden wore as he murdered Tristyn.

August 2021[edit]

  1. List of programmes broadcast by AP1 TV: nominated at AfD; notified Rajkabir234 (talk · contribs) 14:40, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NOTTVGUIDE. The TV channel itself is barely Notable. So, I don't see why we'd need a sub-article or be able to support one with independent sourcing. Regards!

September 2021[edit]

  1. Jarvo 69: nominated at AfD; notified Levixius (talk · contribs) 04:08, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
  2. Anita Silwal: nominated at AfD; notified Pmpanta (talk · contribs) 03:15, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This undisclosed WP:PAID/WP:COI article's subject does not appear to be notable. My first attempt was to clean up the article but I soon realised that there was almost nothing worth retaining: unsourced, poorly sourced (unreliable sources), and material that would be WP:UNDUE in any biography covers more or less the whole of the article. Fails WP:GNG, fails WP:NJOURNALIST, fails WP:NMODEL, fails WP:NACTOR, and the core content policies WP:V, WP:NOR and WP:NPOV, aside from the almost certain violaton of the terms of use with WP:UPE.
  3. Am I: nominated at AfD; notified GBPrakashani (talk · contribs) 09:01, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable. Spam. See plot.
  4. Jaden Howard: nominated at AfD; notified EditorJuniorS (talk · contribs) 10:04, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article does not cite reliable sources. Can't find anything online, literally. Would appear to fail WP:GNG and WP:SINGER. (NPP action)
  5. Simone Williams: nominated at AfD; notified Katierickard23 (talk · contribs) 10:18, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
  6. Brussels So White movement: nominated at AfD; notified Queenofboston (talk · contribs) 11:22, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: The underlying issue, as with all socio-political issues, is likely notable. But this hashtag, and it appears to be just a hashtag as I can't find evidence of a movement as such, fails WP:GNG. (NPP action)
  7. Bikash Lamichhane: nominated at AfD; notified Prabina Karki (talk · contribs) 03:03, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:TOOSOON at best. Aside from this SIGCOV, even mere mentions are not found in online portals of reputed reliable sources. The thing about that WP:SIGCOV, aside from being promotional which almost all Nepali entertainment coverage is, is that its clone is found here in another WP:RS. It was posted two days later and credits the piece to "Annapurna", calling it news which it isn't. That raises question about both reliability and independence; one SIGCOV isn't enough anyway. (NPP action)
  8. Felix Levine: nominated at AfD; notified Hungrurerrei (talk · contribs) 07:26, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:G11 territory with the writing and the sourcing, and I can't locate anything online. Fails WP:GNG, unless there are specialised podcasting RSes that I am unaware of where he's had coverage. (NPP action)
  9. J. Robert Oppenheimer Biopic: nominated at AfD; notified Cyclone1993 (talk · contribs) 16:51, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Too soon. Is there even a title? WP:RUMOUR.
  10. Sambaa Siva: nominated at AfD; notified Taking Out The Trash (talk · contribs) 18:01, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article is obviously not ready for mainspace. Draftification was tried but didn't work. Going by the fact that the article creator has been adding this name to the cast of bluelinked movies, it appears the roles were minor. Can't find qualifying coverage online. Would appear to fail WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR.(NPP action)
  11. Adil Teli: nominated at AfD; notified LOSTINNVIBES (talk · contribs) 06:54, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
  12. Hideaki Nishino: nominated at AfD; notified Artanisen (talk · contribs) 08:09, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Promotional and non-notable; fails WP:GNG. Article makes no biographical claim worthy of note by an encyclopedia. Intentions aside, the result here is an article that's basically WP:COVERT for the person and the product.
  13. Chosen, Japan: nominated at RfD; Target: Korea under Japanese rule (notified); notified Yumeto (talk · contribs) 09:38, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to me like it would be more offensive than useful. Title format gives the impression that Chosen was a place in Japan when it was a different country occupied by it.
  14. Baza Radikaro Oficiala: nominated at AfD; notified Jeffrey Henning (talk · contribs) 12:27, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: I can not find independent coverage. That makes me think we do not need a standalone even if it is important.(NPP action)

  2. Sandip Ghose: nominated at AfD; notified Kartsriv (talk · contribs) 02:51, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Spam; clearly non-notable.
  3. Bobby Gaylor: nominated at AfD; notified Mating panda (talk · contribs) 03:09, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG. Contributions seem minor and scattered to qualify for any single WP:SNG. Also worth considering, this is a WP:BLP without reliable sources.
  4. Abu Omar al-Idlibi: nominated at AfD; notified Lightspecs (talk · contribs) 14:11, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: As a WP:BLP subject involved in what he is involved in, we should only write an article on him after the war has been properly documented in high quality independent sources, and those sources find his role in it to be significant. Such sources don't seem to exist yet. Fails WP:GNG, WP:ANYBIO and WP:BLP.(NPP action)
  5. Razum International School: nominated at AfD; notified Spades089 (talk · contribs) 03:21, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This commercial primary school with 50 students fails WP:NORG and WP:NOTADVERT. The references are blatant advertisements, as is our article. (NPP action)
  6. FOG Project: nominated at AfD; notified PhotographyEdits (talk · contribs) 17:50, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG. The opensource article is in advertisement mode, so it is not independent; plus, it's written by "School IT Director - Open Source Evangelist - Technology Enthusiast - Husband - Dad". The Admin magazine may or may not be reliable, but I can't find anything on "Mayank Sharma" that would indicate we should care what he thinks. Both sources are how-to's and Wikipedia is not, so it would be pretty difficult to write a proper article with them anyway. Independent search didn't yield enough for WP:GNG either. No independent product reviews. (NPP action)
  7. Roller Coaster(Papea City): nominated at RM (technical); New name: Talk:Beaver Land Mine Ride 18:15, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

  9. Shiva Shrestha (actor): nominated at RM (technical); New name: Shiva Shrestha 15:32, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: It's the primary topic. I had created dab there to give equal prominence to all articles when I was more inexperienced.
  10. Larry Bailin: nominated at AfD; notified KatherineDRead (talk · contribs) 04:20, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Highly promotional despite hardly claiming any accomplishment worthy of note. Fails WP:GNG, as there are no sources that meet the requirements at WP:SIGCOV. Fails WP:NAUTHOR as an author of one non-notable book.(NPP action)
  11. Sarthak Sharma: nominated at AfD; notified Nerilanik (talk · contribs) 09:22, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NOTINHERITED. WP:NOTNEWS. Fails WP:GNG. None of the sources have in-depth coverage of the subject (to paraphrase, mainly "Sarthak Sharma who developed AutoForSure" app says, "...""), and even if they did, I would strongly oppose using any of them, as they read so much like advertisements, there is no reason to believe they are independent. Navbharat Times says, at the time of the report, 300 drivers had already signed up. Makes it sound more like a human interest story about a young kid's school project, than an entrepreneurial achievement of an adult; and it's mainly propaganda for Modi's agenda. Multiple references are the same story in different websites, and all references can be categorised into two bursts: January 2021 and mid-2021. (NPP action)

  1. Anil Keshary Shah: nominated at AfD; notified Tulsi (talk · contribs) 02:06, 19 August 2022 (UTC)

  2. Rajesh Baniya: nominated at AfD; notified Nagesh Pokhrel (talk · contribs) 02:00, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

  3. Mina Kumari Lama: nominated at AfD; notified Nagesh Pokhrel (talk · contribs) 02:43, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

November 2022[edit]

  1. Talk:Hedingham & Chambers/Archive Chambers: nominated at MfD; notified 59abcd (talk · contribs) 05:00, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

  2. Talk:Hedingham & Chambers/Archive Hedingham: nominated at MfD; notified 59abcd (talk · contribs) 05:05, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

June 2023[edit]

  1. Rihan Miya: nominated at AfD; notified Wikipedilogy (talk · contribs) 16:31, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: There is no coverage on him. He just happens to be running a business that got the media all excited that one time by securing an order worth $10,000 from India.

September 2023[edit]

  1. Nicholas Sutton: nominated at AfD; notified Wit (talk · contribs) 13:23, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: There is no independent significant coverage that meets the requirements set out at WP:GNG. All I can find is, he was twice caught in the news. First, for his involvement with some land deals that reached litigation that just happened to involve a football club, which is what the news was actually interested in. And second, when it was found that a block of flats that had gone viral for its "squalid" conditions was owned by him. I feel silly having to say this, but neither one, nor both together, should be enough to qualify a person for an encyclopedia entry, even one as inclusive as ours. Also, we should not be creating an article about otherwise non-notable people to list out bad things about them which were not severe enough to make them famous and result in massive court cases that find them guilty. And he is otherwise non-notable. Remove those two incidents, and we are left with zero secondary sources.
  2. Torch (chess engine): nominated at AfD; notified Shawnix (talk · contribs) 15:40, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: There is no independent coverage. Fails WP:GNG, WP:NPRODUCT, WP:CRYSTAL. Everything that's known about it is what chess.com have made known. And they have every reason to hype it up. It has not participated in any event or competition organised by a neutral organiser. It has not been released to the public. It has not been reviewed by independent reviewers. We can not have an article on a commercial product simply parrot company claims from start to finish.

December 2023[edit]

  1. Harvinder Singh (IAS officer): nominated at AfD; notified TheChunky (talk · contribs) 03:49, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: India has a fascination with "IAS" and it's a great personal achievement, but it's still just a civil service job, best I can tell. You pass an exam, you get posted and you get shuffled around. You do not actually set policies. So, WP:NPOL is out the window.
For a civil servant to be notable, I would think they would have to be recognised at the national level for their civil service, with awards comparable to the British knighthood. Or they would have to be known for some major bureaucratic reform. Or if they were at least at the secretarial level in ministries, we could imagine that they're probably notable. The subject of this article is none of those things. There are 800 districts in India and 3500 IAS officers, which makes our subject a sub-district level civil servant who's been shuffled a few times.
So, let's look at the sources for evidence of WP:GNG. The first one is a list of civil servants which he's in because he's a civil servant. The second one says "rank", "marksheet" (no joke), educational qualification and more, and takes you to a photo montage. The third one says that, a son of a truck driver whose hand was damaged in a childhood accident has become an IAS officer. But it also says he's a great archer who's got a bronze for India in Tokyo Paralympics. But wait, we already have an article on the bronze medal winner from Tokyo Paralymics at Harvinder Singh (archer). One of the sources there is this, which says, the Paralympian's legs stopped working properly in childhood because of a botched dengue treatment. It talks about his work and study which do not match this story. The pictures from this don't match the picture at Harvinder Singh (archer). Source #4 again repeats that Singh hurt his hand in childhood and worked very hard despite repeated failures to finally pass the IAS exam. Working hard and landing a cushy job makes for a human interest story; those stories don't count for notability. The last three sources are about him getting transferred from district to district. It is routine filler.

January 2024[edit]

  1. My address is 130 Green Meadow Lane. Fayetteville Georgia. 30215.: nominated at RfD; Target: Chris Benoit (notified); notified Geekboy6 (talk · contribs) 16:32, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I think it's inappropriate, and an unlikely search term. I see we have Category:Last words which contains redirects of long texts not mentioned in the target articles. I have to disagree. If the text is not important enough to mention in the articles, they should not be redirects. Regardless, I find this one particularly inappropriate.

  3. Z CAM: nominated at AfD; notified Dancter (talk · contribs) 10:22, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Sources are not good. Only one even looks like one. But the window for draftification has passed. Content appears to have been split off from Z CAM. The relevant guideline is WP:NORG, so being part of news stories is not enough. (NPP action)
  4. Jonathan Burrows (producer): nominated at AfD; notified Rnguyen1 (talk · contribs) 07:22, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Flagged by someone claiming to be the subject's son, as a self-written vanity page, exaggerated and imbellished to such an extent as to be misinformation. The claim appears to be substantively correct. The only source that actually looks like a source is this about a production he was involved in, but it was a press release in what appears to be a local source, says so at the end. I could not verify many of the claims in the article either in the sources cited or independently. If reliable sources can be identified, I am happy to fix the article but it needs to be deleted if not.

    • Reason: Fasting should be discussed at Fasting. Rules on a Shivaratra fast should be discussed at Maha Shivratri. I am not seeing a proper WP:SCOPE for this article. Content is mostly WP:NOT; some dubious health claims and a general non-adherance to WP:NPOV.

    • Reason: Fails WP:GNG, and fails WP:OR starting with WP:SYNTH, as rumors and coincidences have been used to create a rivalry that simply does not exist in the real world, not in the way that we understand the term to mean when we say "X-Y rivalry". As it will be relevant in the discussion, I want to note upfront that chess24.com and chess.com are not independent sources when it comes to Carlsen and Nakamura, and they do not always take their journalism seriously.

  1. Rajan Simkhada: nominated at AfD; notified SachuLolly (talk · contribs) 11:26, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: It reflects poorly on us to host blatant spam like this. I went in to clean it up but couldn't find sources to support a Wikipedia biography. Most links are dead but those that I could access didn't support the claims or cover him in any depth. The is WP:UPE spam and the subject fails WP:GNG.
