Life and Education[edit]

Rojas was in dance for fourteen years, starting at age three; she would practice three times a week in five different classes. It wasn't until high school that she transitioned into being a competitive cheerleader. Her main career goal at that time

was to become a neuron surgeon, so she took various leadership roles throughout high school to get on track. She was the president of her class for two years and cheer captain for her team. During her Junior year of high school, she became interested in fashion and started researching fashion colleges. Despite not having a background in fashion, she made a portfolio of extracurricular paintings and drawings, which landed her at Kent State University, Ohio. She completed all four years at Kent State with one study-abroad semester in Florence, Italy. She graduated at the top of her class with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Fashion and Design with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. [1] [2]

Career[edit]

From September 2015 through May 2018, Rojas was a supervisor at The North Face in Aurora, Ohio. Simultaneously, she worked for a fashion design internship for FOUNT from August 2016 through May 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. Once she graduated from Kent State, she began working for TASC Performance, a fashion company that designs loungewear and workout wear. She began in an associate design role from 2018-2020, but then she moved up to lead designer. In 2021 she became a senior designer, which is her current role for the company. Her brand, CasasRojas, launched in December 2020, so she has worked both careers since then. [3]

gLOBAL[edit]

gLOBAL is one of Rojas' most recognized collections, focusing on Global Nomadism. Global Nomads travel from place to place with no permanent residency or job, so Rojas created an on-the-go fashion line that provides practical fashion revolving around the Nomadic lifestyle. Rojas wanted to add purpose and innovative technology to her designs; her line featured various jackets that transformed into backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, and a pair of pants that could be a backpack. When she launched this collection on the runway at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards 2019 in New Zealand, she was a senior in college. She was given the Free to Be Me Award for her fashion-forward designs. [4] [5] [6]
