Night of the Living Dead: REANIMATED is a re-imagining of George Romero's horror classic Night of the Living Dead featuring the work of various animators and filmmakers from around the globe. The different types of mixed media featured include puppetry, CGI, hand drawn animation, acrylics, clay, and even tattoos, just to name a few. This mass-collaboration approach is less about remaking Romero's film and more about viewing the classic through an experimental lens.

Production

[edit]

The project was the started by neo-flux manager Mike Schneider. This is not his first project to feature this style of collaboration. Mike had worked on previous smaller endeavors like NOTLD reanimated, but most were typically just visual features. It was considered to do an ever expanding story with each animator providing there own take on an ever evolving story line, but this was considered to massive an idea to be done realistically, seeing as each artist would have to wait after one another. The idea was abandoned in favor of Night Of the Living Dead, because of it's iconic visuals, and public domain status granting freedom to any and all artists.

Plot

[edit]

While the audio has been left unchanged, the animation has given new life to it. Adding angles, unique trademarks, and exaggerating the style of the film and characters.
