  • Typhoon Nida (2009) (T0922, 26W, Vinta) – Powerful Category 5 super typhoon that formed within a monsoon trough 545 miles southeast of Guam in late November and reached peak winds of 185 mph (300 km/h)
  • Typhoon Krosa (2013) (T1329, 29W, Vinta) – struck the Philippines
  • Typhoon Tembin (2017) (T1727, 33W, Vinta) – struck the Philippines, particularly Mindanao, and killed over 200 people
