Youssef Ksiyer is a Moroccan comedian, content creator and artist. He is also a television, radio and podcast host. Born on December 27th, 1983, in Casablanca, Morocco.[1]

Career[edit]

In 2003, Ksiyer studied at Al Akhawayn University, and majored in Business Administration. He was the president of the drama club in the university. [1] In 2007, he won the first prize of the 2nd edition of the best comedian in Casablanca.[2] He spent three years working in Communication and Marketing.[3]In 2011, his comedy style was noticed by Jamel Comedy Club in Marrakesh. In 2012, he then integrated the troupe in Paris. [4] In 2012, he was invited by Hassan El Fadto perform in the opening of Marrakech du Rire.[5]

He is currently the manager of JOOJ Media which is a Moroccan social media platform mostly active on Instagram.[6][7]

Activism[edit]

Ksiyer participated in a campaign organized by ONU Femmes to fight against violence towards women and the stereotypes built around it. [18][19]

In 2020, he gave a TEDTalk speech in collaboration with TEDxENSAKhouribga where he expressed his concern about climate change and ecology. He centred his speech around the Moroccan and African Environment in relation to this global issue.
