Band of Leaders

Band of Leaders is an organization founded by Treandous Cuthbertson in 2010 while he was a Sophomore attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Band of Leaders provides a venue for people to develop in leadership while they further advance their leadership skills. Originally based in VA, Band of Leaders' mission is to "Bring Leaders to Teach, Bring Students to Reach, Bring the World to its Feet!" As of March 2011 Band of Leaders is a Sole Proprietorship with ambitions of becoming a Non-Profit organization. Band of Leaders is a Christian organization that seeks to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through "Building a Community of God-Made Leaders". Band of Leaders launched its first Collegiate Chapter at Liberty University in December of 2010.
Band of Leaders prides itself as being one of the first youth organized and established organizations from Liberty University which is significant of its credentials. The founder, Treandous Cuthbertson, was 19 years old and the Executive Board consisted of 6 members all under the age of 21 at its founding. As of current there are 6 leadership positions on the Executive Board which are, President, Vice President, Internal Affairs Coordinator, Advertising and PR Coordinator, Events Coordinator, and Secretary and Treasurer each currently led by college aged students attending Liberty University.
As of currently Band of Leaders' most notable achievement is the monetary contribution of one thousand and two hundred dollars to a faith based after school program in Lynchburg, VA named "The Center" in 2011. This came about through a campaign that was launched by Band of Leaders to contribute to the community recognizing that Community Involvement was one of the main pillars of the Organization. Band of Leaders also held a cookout at "The Center" to further contribute to the community and enrich young people for the cause of leading a Christian life on April 16, 2011. The Cookout turned out to be very successful with over 150 community members, elementary through high school aged children, volunteers, and staff of Band of Leaders(Check references below for full story). Dr. Elmer Towns, noted theologian and Dean of the Liberty University Seminary, endorsed the organization's bi-line "Leadership Exposure" at its founding during a meeting with Dr. Towns and the executives. Ever since, he has agreed to meet with the team to bless, "add value to", them with prayer and added guidance.
Band of Leaders plans to launch many more initiatives and projects aimed at leadership development, community involvement, and "Building a Community of God-Made Leaders". Its mission is to go global and see an entire generation of God-Made Leaders.
