September 2020

[edit]
  1. Template:Bio-warn-deletion nominated at TfD (merge); notified JBW (talk · contribs); Other template: Template:Db-bio-deleted 23:13, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Most administrators now use the Template:Db-bio-deleted template. This makes the former template (bio-warn-deletion) outdated and unnecessary.
  2. Draft:Demetrius Sylvert nominated at MfD; notified 2601:19C:4801:28F0:B0D1:62B0:89E5:2CDB (talk · contribs) 01:14, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

December 2020

[edit]
  1. Wikipedia:Request Edit Wizard nominated at MfD; notified CorporateM (talk · contribs) 05:46, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: [Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Request Edit Wizard|Please see previous MfD]]. Accidental closure as keep when only one user voted.
  2. Template:Puppet: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Sockpuppet; notified AzaToth (talk · contribs) 23:22, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: The old template is not necessary as there is another template called Sockpuppet which contains similar (if not more relevant) content. I don't want this template deleted, but I would like it to be redirected to Template:Sockpuppet.
  3. Template:Spam-warn-deletion: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Db-spam-deleted; notified Lethaniol (talk · contribs) 22:16, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unecessary and redundant. Most administrators do not use the Spam-warn-deletion template anymore to notify people that their article has been deleted as advertising or promotion. Please redirect to the db-spam-deleted template.
  4. Template:Empty-warn-deletion: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Db-nocontext-deleted; notified Lethaniol (talk · contribs) 22:21, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: In a previous templates for discussion the argument was keep because the redirect target was Db-nocontext-notice. The original redirect target was for general notices, whilst the new one is for letting a person know about page deletions. Similar to spam-warn-deletion, this template is unecessary and redundant.

January 2021

[edit]
  1. William Crichton, 2nd Earl of Dumfries: nominated at AfD; notified PatGallacher (talk · contribs) 00:26, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: A hoax tag was placed on this page in September 2020. Also, the only source mentioned in this page is Cracroftspeerage, which was deprecated by Wikipedia in 2020 as self-published (meaning not reliable for genealogical information). Another source on the person - Geni.com - is also unreliable as it is an open wiki - a type of self-published source. Ohter sources on this person (thepeerage, wikitrees) are also unreliable due to similar reasoning.

April 2021

[edit]
  1. Draft:Lucy Brownstein: nominated at MfD; notified Aintdababydasmybaby (talk · contribs) 04:18, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: No reliable sources backing up any of these claims, subtle hoax (person likely doesn't exist according to Google, but this could be wrong).
  2. Draft:The East Central Africa: nominated at MfD; notified Akbulutarin (talk · contribs) 23:49, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Subtle hoax. The only real reference is original research. No reliable sources.

November 2021

[edit]
  1. Template:Pinnaroo railway line (SA) RDT: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Pinanroo railway line; notified Nick Mitchell 98 (talk · contribs) 23:33, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: The templates are effectively similar (duplicate), with the exception for one template using sidings and the other template using station icons. If the merge goes ahead, I will move the merged template to include (SA) because I will create a template for the Victoria Pinnaroo Railway Line.
