Revinate is a Silicon Valley start-up company that was started in 2009 by co-founders Jay Ashton (current CEO) and Marc Heyneker (VP of sales) to provide hotels with SaaS-format social media and online reputation management services.[1][2] Headquartered in San Francisco, Revinate also has offices in New York, Amsterdam, Dubai, Sydney, and Singapore, and has worked with over 23,000 hotels in 140 countries. The company's software platform collects and sorts data from consumer review websites such as TripAdvisor, as well as social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare and others, where hotel properties and brands are mentioned. Hotel representatives are notified when their companies are mentioned online, and the data is then used to make adjustments to hotel operations and allow hotels to respond quickly to online reviews.[3][4] In 2011 Revinate officially partnered with TripAdvisor, allowing the firm to monitor customer reviews and ratings and popularity index rankings from the website.[5] In 2014 Revinate launched a new platform called inGuest which collects guest booking and on-site request histories, preferences, and social media activity and compiles the data into personalized guest profiles for hotels. The program features a mobile app on iOS, Android and mobile web platforms which enables guests to check in, request services and reservations, and receive notifications and targeted communications.[6][7][8]
