Raj Reddy M M. Raj Reddy (born 8 June) is an Indian Philanthropist, Civil Engineer and Social worker.

An Engineer Visionary philanthropist worked all over the world won the Ugadi Puraskaram by the [Delhi]] Telugu Academy and Hind Rattan Award by the NRI Welfare Society of India. The Cultural and Literary Secretary of the Telugu Association of London(TAL) సంస్కృతి క కార్యదర్శి , a UK registered Charity Serving the Telugu Community since 2005.

Childhood[edit]

He was born to M. Gopal Reddy and Suguna Devi at Huzurabad of Karimnagar District, Andhra Pradesh. He did Civil Engineering Diploma from Warangal and Degree in Civil Engineering from Madras now called Chennai from Institution of Engineers), H. He is an eminent public orator in Telugu, he wrote many poem’s from his childhood, participated in the many [radio] programs and TV presentations , He was always stood in first in the school, he was very hard worker, use to cycle from the village to the school every day at least 12KM at the age of 10. He used to teach his co-students and children and encourage the children to participate in many sports and other social activities.

He founded the United Group and has been in the field of business for the last 22 years involved in the construction activity, Engineering industry, He is the phylonthropis, founder of the Microfinance corporation, United Educational Society, United Finance Services, Think Soft.

He received a Rind Rattan by the NRI Welfare Society of India, for his great contribution in the construction of the World Bank projects and other infrastructural projects in India and Out side India NRI Welfare Society of India He was the Senior Engineer [[Project Manager and Director for the Companies around the world.

He was [Chairman] of iNEST since 2004, Interview panael Board Committee Member of the CIOB from 2009, Ugadhi Puraskar Award Jury in 2012 and Glory of India in 2011 by Friendship Society of India, Cultural and Literary Secretary of TAL[[Telugu Association of London] from 2010 and Member of AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS, USA The Construction Institute, USA Chartered Institute of Building, UK Association of Building Engineers, UK The Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, UK The Chartered Management Institute,UK American Concrete Institute,USA The Indian Society for Technical Education, India Institution of Engineers

Social career[edit]

He was the founder of the iNEST and social enterprise working for the betterment of the rural population back in India. He was the Founder of the Hope Ghana working to eliminate the child poverty in Ghana. He is presently working with Age Link, Age-Link is a registered charity in UK, working for elderly to bring happiness and mitigate the loneliness of the elderly, disabled and partially bind and living alone, the aim is to bring comfort to those elderly persons who may be lonely. This may be because they are housebound, blind or partially blind, wheelchair bound, or living alone without family. Age link have sixteen groups covering twenty three areas in Greater London, and Age link is very keen to extend our activities to other areas in order to help as many as possible. Age Link volunteers come from all walks of life. Age Link help approximately 400 disadvantaged pensioners, with the aid of 500 volunteers. 100 of these dedicated volunteers have been with Age-Link for more than thirty years. Age link also work with the organisations such as Rotary and Lions clubs, Sai Centres, schools, Girl Guide groups and other organisations. He is also the Culture and Literature Secretary for the TELUGU ASSOCIATION OF LONDON(TAL)http://www.taluk.org/ TAL is a UK registered Charity and it is the first ever Telugu organisation to acquire this in London.Telugu Association of London has taken up and trying its level best to fulfil the responsibilityand duty of promoting, propagating and preserving Telugu cultural and heritage roots to the Telugu people and also to the children of this generation living in and around London. TAL is taking every chance positively to unite and work closely with the local British and other communities and getting them to know about “Telugu Culture”. TAL has been organising various Telugu festivals, functions and events since 2005. TAL charity located and renovated the grave of Sir Charles Philipp Brown,who was a British Civil Servant worked in India 100 years back ,he was so fascinated with the Telugu language that he even learned the same and translated many books and wrote many poems in Telugu. TAL has felicitated many dignitaries, politicians, poets, artists (cinema and fine arts), visionaries from State of Andhra Pradesh (South India) and Britain all these years. TAL have started Telugu Cultural Centres across London as a culture exchange program to educate our children about our sweetest Language “Telugu”, traditions and south Indian music and heritage. TAL is actively committed and involved in engagement with local communities in and around London and has been conducting different range of local activities for kids, adults, women and elderly all over London throughout the year since 2005. TALTelugu Association of London(TAL) have always taken self initiative in supporting families and students in distress at times of hardship. TAL is also involved actively with local charities supporting elderly and aged people living in and around London.
