Aasaish (Urdu: آسائش, lit. 'luxury'), previously titled Tumhare Qadmon Ki Dhool (The Dust of your Feet), is an upcoming 2023 South Korean-Pakistani series. Written by Zaviyar it stars Kim Min-ji, Hwang Hyun-jin, Nishimura Riki, Chaeryeong and others. The story is themed around admiring celebrities and the consequences and unfamiliarity regarding idolizing others.
Synopsis
[edit]Aasaish tells the story of Hyunjin's fangirl, Min Hyun-Ae aka "Hani" (played by Minji), who hails from a middle-class family in Wonju. Her obsession with Hyunjin takes a turn as she starts aspiring a life of fame and comfort, just like her idol's. However, Hani is unaware of the consequences of idolizing others and the cost of these luxuries. The story follows her journey of achieving peace and tranquility. The story also entails the life of her idol Hyunjin and how his wealth and fame has made him numb, looking for inner peace and satisfaction. In a series of flashbacks, Hyunjin's middle school years are also underlined where Lee Ha-Eun (Hyunjin's classmate) is seen being a victim of Hyunjin's bullying and harassment. A series of events and incidents are based on Stray Kids' Hyunjin's 2021 controversies.
