User:The Random Editor/Introduction

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Καλημέρα! (Good Day!)

Hello there, and welcome to my humble userpage. I'm The Random Editor, or at least that is my pseudonym here on Wikipedia. If you are wondering why I have a Greek greeting on the header of this introductory letter, it is because one quarter of my mixed descent is Greek. Though the majority of bloodline is Russian, I feel myself more strongly attached to my Athenian roots. As Plato wrote in his Timaeus, "O Solon, Solon, Hellenes aei paides este, geron de Hellen ouk estin;" it describes me perfectly. As to the translation of that piece of Platonic dialogue, you shall have to find it yourself.

Life is not as wonderful as I once believed it to be. Incidents come at you so rapidly that you can't react fast enough. When my Father was diagnosed with Cancer, which resulted in his death, I realized how much of my life I had missed by wasting it on the unimportant things. "Life, we learn too late, is in the living, in the tissue of every day and hour." Amazing isn’t it that that statement was said by a Economist. I always thought of Economists, up until this point, as men with no sense of culture, refinement, or charm.

If you are wondering where I’m going with this, then you are very much like me indeed. Perhaps, I’m telling you all of this so that you will have a better understanding of me. No matter the reason, I appreciate you using your time to read this little introduction. I hope you enjoy your stay on The Random Editor Userspace, and I hope you return here soon.
