In this Spanish name, the first or paternal surname is Cantalapiedra and the second or maternal family name is Fernández.

Aitor Cantalapiedra Fernández, known as Aitor (born 10 February 1996), is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Barcelona B.

Career[edit]

Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, Aitor began his career at the age of five for FC Barcelona fan club Cinc Copes, and spent his youth at three other teams in the region – RCD Espanyol, CF Damm and UE Cornellà – before joining Barça's youth ranks towards the end of the 2013–14 season.[1] He made six appearances for their under-19 team in the 2014–15 UEFA Youth League.

On 22 August 2015, he made his senior debut for the reserve team in Segunda División B, replacing Joan Campins for the final 21 minutes of a 2–1 loss at former club Cornellà.[2] He scored his first goal on 5 September, equalising in the 43rd minute against rivals Espanyol B at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque, albeit in a 3–2 defeat.[3] On 11 October, he scored the only goal in a home win over CD Alcoyano.[4]

On 28 October 2015, Aitor made his debut for Barcelona's main team, replacing fellow debutant Wilfrid Kaptoum for the final 26 minutes of a goalless draw away to CF Villanovense in the season's Copa del Rey.[5]
