Roy Lachlan Nicolson is an Australian music record producer, songwriter and musician. Nicolson has produced commercially successful songs and albums for Australian and international artists including Toto Coelo, Melissa and The Cockroaches.
He was a member of short-lived Sydney New wave band Arvo and created the album Beatle Barkers under the name Woofers & Tweeters Ensemble.

Songwriting[edit]
Between 1997 and 1982 Nicolson was based in England and worked as a synthesizer programmer and player with various producers. During this time he co-wrote and produced the Toto Coelo one hit wonder I eat cannibals which charted in the top ten in UK charts, the Australian charts and the New Zealand charts.
In 1991 he wrote the number one single Read my lips for Melissa Tkautz, which won the highest selling single award in the 1992 ARIA Music Awards. He went on to co write her second single Sexy (Is the word), which was released in September 1991 and peaked at number 3 on the charts and her third single Skin to skin, which reached number 16.
