gamerboy80 (also known as gb80, or gaymoreboy80) is a YouTuber mainly known for his Hypixel Bedwars content on Minecraft. As of November 2021, he has 741 thousand subscribers on YouTube.^[1] Part of what contributes to his popularity is his unique sense humor, which can be seen in some of his introductions, which have been put into compilations, and made into semi-popular memes.^[2] In addition to this, he also is known for his quotes, which people find humorous. He is also considered to be, or have been, the best Bedwars player ever, being the first player to reach 1000 stars in the gamemode, as well as being the first to reach 100,000 final kills in the mode.^[1]

History[edit]

Originally, gamerboy80's Minecraft username, or ign (in game name), was 'ajp1720', but was changed to gamerboy80 on the tenth of August 2017. In his 10,000 subscriber Q&A, he revealed that his ign is based on another players' name, 'gamerboy81', and that it had stuck with him since.^[3] In his oldest video (publicly), his ign is 'ajp1720', and is the only known video to show gamerboy80 with an alternate player name.^[4]

Cancer[edit]

On the 15th of May 2019, gamerboy80 made a now deleted YouTube community post, stating that he had cancer. The post read as following.

"Hey fellow gamers!

Sorry about the upload schedule I have been quite busy this past week.

I have been in the hospital for the past few days with intense stomach pains. I just woke up from surgery about an hour ago, and I got some EPIC GAMER GG results.

I have cancer!!! This is so epic guys smash like! I wish I was kidding, but I'm not. Needless to say, I'm going to be inactive on YouTube for a while so sorry about that.

Hopefully I'll be back to uploading soon, if ever."^[5]

Later, gamerboy80 clarified on his Twitter account that the type of cancer he had was Lymphoma, which gamerboy80 states is "easily treatable", and that he "caught it pretty early"^[6]

Face Reveal[edit]

On the 19th of July 2019, gamerboy80 posted a video called "100k", in which he reveals his face.^[7]
