Surf Gidget The Pug[edit]

Surf Gidget The Pug (born October 12, 2012) is a dog living in San Clemente, California, who has gained a large internet & social media following, as the best small dog surf champions in the world known to ride backwards & do 360's on her board naturally to shore and has reached status of a "celebrity dog" and "professional athlete".[1] [2] [3] [4][5] [6] [7] [8][9][10] She is one of the most followed rare white sport pugs who nearly died of a rare disease called EPI "Exocrine Pancreratic Insufficiency" in 2016. She is the winner of the Dog Surfing People's Choice Award & she has won all competitive surf dog championships in California. She has appeared in Galveston Texas as a celebrity guest at the Ohana Surf Dog Contest.[11] She has competed & won 1st through 2nd place repeatedly in the Dog Olympics more commonly known as The Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge. She competed and won 3rd in the Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge "Mountain Dog Challenge" in Colorado thanks to her dog agility background.

She has also helped children with disabilities through surf therapy and has entered competitions with Challenged Athletes Foundation disabled surf athletes in surf dog competitions. She has appeared in a Fox Sports segment about surfing and helping disabled children.[1] She has supported Belinda Carlisle lead singer " The Go Go's" animal rescue foundation called "Animal People Alliance" since 2016 and still does currently. Gidget appeared in National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild show "Pet Talk" with Cesar and his son Andre Millan with Gidget's owner teaching Andre Millan how to surf his dog Sugar. Gidget appeared
