It's easier to reference something more than once by using the ref name= option (see News citation reference below)
All references need the referencing tag (ref and ref/ both in <>)

Adding a note^[a]

The notelist will only show notes flagged prior to it's inclusion. So this note shows in the Notes section but the note lettering does not carry on - hence why the note attached to this is also showing as note a - so be careful.^[a] However you can fix this by including a list of footnotes as shown at Template:Refn
