Cute Mario Mail Time!

The Cute Mario Bros. (channel formerly known as MarioMario8989) is a Canadian web series and YouTube channel created in 2006 by friends Tyler Zanon and Kenny “Ricky” Hawksworth.

Similar to SuperMarioLogan, they became popular on YouTube after uploading videos depicting plush toys of characters from the Mario franchise going on absurd adventures. Other characters include plush toys, action figures, and puppets of characters from media franchises such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Muppets. They have received backlash several times from fans of SuperMarioLogan, another Mario plush YouTube channel for allegedly stealing plot ideas, when, ironically enough, most ideas were already taken from Zanon and Hawksworth themselves. The name "Cute Mario Bros" was inspired by several Japanese commercials released in the early 2000's called Hot Mario Bros.

1 Find Yoshi! 7:42 April 6, 2007 Luigi wakes up and hits his head on the bottom of the bed, and decides to go for a swim. Mario wakes up and sings Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'. In the kitchen, Luigi climbs onto the table and finds a plate of pizza and eats it. Then he jumps off the table and into the door, but notices a Yoshi egg. He runs to get Mario, who comes into the kitchen. However, he gets distracted by the pizza and rolls around in it, eating it. They go to see the egg, but not before Kenny, the cameraman, grabs Mario and washes him off in the sink. They look at the egg and it hatches, revealing Yoshi. After playing with him for a little while, Mario and Luigi start training Yoshi in how to defeat Bowser. At Bowser's lair, he is plotting to defeat Mario and Luigi and eat Yoshi. Mario and Luigi arrive, but are distracted at how cute and fuzzy is, giving him time to throw them at the wall. Bowser beats them up and flees. Mario and Luigi go back to check on Yoshi, but find out he is missing. They search all over the house for him, but eventually encounter Bowser again. Mickey tells Bowser that he'll never defeat them, but Mario tells him he's not supposed to be in the movie. Bowser gets hit by a pillow, and runs away. Mario and Luigi find out that it was Yoshi who threw the pillow, and thank him.
2 Summer Fun 6:23 June 27, 2007 After playing guitar at home, Mario and Luigi are bored and have no clue what to do, and Mario suggests that they play outside because it's summer. First, Luigi rides his bike, but ends up crashing. Mario rides up to him in his scooter, and MarioMario8989, the cameraman, helps Luigi up. A few minutes later, Mario and Luigi arrive at the playground. Suddenly they find themselves buried with their heads poking out of the ground. They get out and play on the merry-go-round, which sends Luigi flying through the air. Next, Mario rides the bouncy motorcycle, but ends up crushing Luigi over and over as he does it. Next, Mario uses the excavator while Luigi relaxes, but buries him alive. After he realizes what he did, he digs Luigi out again. Next, Mario pushes Luigi on the swing, but gets hit as it comes on the rebound sending him flying to the fence. Luigi wants to go on the slide, but it's too big for them, so they slide down a mini-pipe. Lastly, they leave the playground and climb a tree, but Luigi falls down. Mario and Luigi then agree that it was a great day and go back home.
3 Meet Jack Skellington! (Part 1/2) 8:00 July 22, 2007 Luigi decides to go swimming, and jumps off of the Tree Fort and into the pond. After swimming for a little bit, LuigiMario112 wrings him out and takes him back into the house and puts him in the Tunnel of Time, which will make time go backwards and cause Luigi to be dry again. Mario wakes up, and sees Jack Skellington dancing. After a conversation, Mario takes Jack to meet Luigi, but Luigi is scared of him. Jack tells Luigi that if he thinks he is scary, he doesn't want to see his girlfriend, Sally, who was kidnapped. Jack shows them a plan that he made on how to defeat the person who kidnapped her, Bowser. Mario doesn't like the plan and comes up with a new one, but Bowser listens in on them. However, Jack fell asleep while Mario was talking, and out of frustration, Mario throws him into the washing machine. They leave him behind, but Bowser shows up and kidnaps Jack too. In the living room, Mario and Luigi are playing Super Paper Mario. Bowser arrives with Jack in his bag, and Mario, Luigi, and Bowser then fight. Mario uses his special move, gets a huge boxing glove, and then punches Bowser away with it. Then Luigi uses his special move, Irish dancing. Bowser claims it didn't hurt, and uses his special move, fire breath, which both the Bros. dodge. Mario rescues Jack, and then Luigi claims to have found Sally, but it turns out to be Toad. Jack realizes that Bowser never kidnapped Sally at all, and realizes that she was back at Halloweentown the whole time. He bids the Bros. farewell and leaves saying he hopes to see them again, but is shot down by someone behind a bush. Four years pass, and the Mario Bros. never find Jack

Mario and Luigi are eating Toppables when Mickey Mouse arrives and warns the brothers that a new threat, The Green Terror, is after them. After Mario refuses to believe of this, Mickey tells them that they will hear strange noises at 12 o'clock that night. Sure enough, Mario and Luigi wake up to unknown sounds and go to investigate. They find nothing and go back to bed. However, Kermit was in their living room the entire time and hints to him building an army. The next morning, Kermit develops shadow clones of the Mario Brothers with the help of the Camera Guy and enlists them into his army. The Camera Guy asks why Kermit wants to kill Mario and Luigi. His reasoning is because they called him a loser. Kermit than looks to recruit one of Mario's arch rivals, Bowser and his son. Although the war is too dangerous for Bowser Jr., Kermit convinces Bowser to join his army. Kermit also manages to recruit Sonic the Hedgehog and SpongeBob SquarePants, completing his evil regime. Alarmed by Kermit and his goons, Mickey alerts the Mario Brothers and they become concerned. They try to enlist the help of citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom, but they laugh at the thought of Kermit being a villain. Luckily for them, Mickey was able to build an army of his own. This army includes Patrick Star, Pikachu, Pikachu Jr., Goku, Yoshi, and Toad. Seconds later, Kermit drops off a note to Mario and Luigi, telling them to meet him for battle at the Lost Forrest that night. The battle begins and Mario is the first to step up for battle. Kermit calls upon Shadow Mario as his opponent. The war begins and each battle pits one fighter from Mario's army against one fighter from Kermit's army. Mario defeats Shadow Mario by crumpling him up and throwing him away. Luigi defeats Shadow Luigi by blowing his nose on him, crumpling him up, and throwing him away. Goku defeats SpongeBob by pouring Brisk Iced Tea on him, causing him to expand and harden before dropping him. Sonic defeats Pikachu Jr. and Pikachu. Patrick defeats Sonic by reversing a Sonic Rush attack with his stomach, causing Sonic to bounce off him and be launched away from the battlefield. Bowser defeats Goku in one hit. Bowser also defeats Mickey by crushing him, much to the sadness of Mario. Bowser defeats Toad by default after Toad runs away from the battle. Yoshi defeats Bowser afterwards, leaving Kermit all alone. Kermit destroys Yoshi and Patrick before facing Mario in a long battle. Mario shows a valiant effort, but Kermit ultimately defeats Mario. Having beaten Mario, Kermit buries Mario under logs and declares victory. Luigi comes to his brother's aid but he is too late and Mario dies. He goes to Banpresto Heaven, where he is told he will be given one last chance to defeat Kermit before he and the Muppets take over the world completely. Mario awakens back on Earth and wants another shot at Kermit. Luigi tells him he must recover and he challenges Kermit himself. Unfortunately, Luigi is unable to win alone. Mario steps in to help and they fight together. During the final battle, Kermit unleashes his final form (which only changes his power level not his physical appearance). With this new final form, he overpowers the Mario Brothers and goes for the final blow. Luckily for Mario and Luigi, Jack Skellington returns to fend off Kermit with the Haunting Blast, killing him. The Mario Brothers and Jack celebrate as they say goodbye to the viewers.
