On the website Rotten Tomatoes movie holds a porcentage of 80% based in 15 reviews most of them positive.[3]

Writting for Film Daze Katie Duberman said: "While it feels a bit like we are watching a story unfold in a painstakingly designed Victorian dollhouse, the film has enough in the way of bewitching production design and trance-like cinematography to enchant."[4] Alix Turner from Ready Steady Cut rated the movie with 3 stars of 5 and wrote: "An unusual, sad story about a haunted funeral home. Sympathetic characters, beautiful cinematography, and intense music. Mauro Iván Ojeda is a director to watch."[5] Conversely Wendy Ide from Screen International was critical about tone and concluded: "There is an intriguing idea at the heart of this film, but it is too tonally uncertain to gather much momentum. The undertaker’s home might be brim-full of spooks, but the actual scares are few and far between."[6]
