Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam[edit]

Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam (born October 3, 1939) is the current traditional ruler of the Illah Kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria. He ascended the throne in March 2018, following the reign of his predecessor, Obi Christopher Akazue Gbemudu.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam was born on October 3, 1939, to Mr. Jugai Enechaziam in the serene town of Illah, Delta State, Nigeria. He pursued higher education at the University of Jos and Ahmadu Bello University, where he studied Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine.

Career[edit]

Before his ascension to the throne, Obi Slyvester had a distinguished career as a Principal Research Officer at the National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI). His work in the field of agricultural research left a legacy of innovation and expertise.

Ascension to the Throne[edit]

Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam became the traditional ruler of Illah in March 2018. His official coronation took place on April 6, 2022, where he was presented with the Staff of Office by His Excellency, Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, on behalf of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa. The event was attended by the Local Government Chairman, Honorable Esewezie Innocent.

Leadership and Achievements[edit]

Since ascending to the throne, Obi Slyvester has been a beacon of prosperity, unity, and progress in Illah. He is celebrated for his wisdom, compassion, and deep commitment to the well-being of his people. Under his leadership, Illah has witnessed significant growth and development.

Personal Life[edit]

Obi Slyvester is married to Obugu-Eze, Rose Mazi Enechaziam-Jugai. Together, they have seven children, all of whom are graduates of various universities. His personal life reflects his values of education and empowerment, and he is affectionately known by many as S. O Jugai.

6th Coronation Anniversary[edit]

In 2024, the Illah Kingdom celebrated the sixth coronation anniversary of Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam. The community expressed heartfelt gratitude for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the prosperity of Illah Kingdom. His reign is wished to continue being blessed with peace, progress, and prosperity.
