The Way of the Judge: A User's Guide to Judging a Game of Yugioh When it comes to the game of yu-gi-oh there is a simple distinguishable difference from the onset of most tournaments; The players who are obviously involved in the stratagem of the game, and the Judges those in charge of everthing else from officiating players, decide how to properly and fairly rule on cards, and awarding both prize and punishment to players who contend in the tournament. Lately, as a player and a Judge in training I have noticed a recent change in Judging overall and took it upon myself to design a guide on the pricipals and basics of judging to provide at least some kind of reference point (if you will) on refereeing. Basically The parts of adjudication in the game of yugioh comes down to two simpler parts that make a very complex whole. On one hand there is the make-up of a card which determines its effect on the game and how anything associated with it is decided. For example player a activates "magical dimension" while they control a face-up peten the dark clown and two scapegoat tokens, and there opponent has a stardust dragon is face-up on the field. Player b attepmts to activate stardust dragon's effect to negate magical dimension, player a informs player b that he cant and a dispute arises, and then the outcome or ruling is up to the judge. ...
