Skrypin.ua is a Ukrainian digital broadcaster. Skrypin.ua was created by Ukrainian journalist Roman Skrypin in May 2016 after the conflict and Skrypin's withdrawal from Hromadske.TV. [1] [2]Skrypin.ua distributes content through its website skrypin.ua and its Internet TV channels [3] UMN / skrypin.ua.

History[edit]

The first broadcast of the project took place on May 14 at 20:00, since then the channel broadcasts exclusively on the Internet on the YouTube channel[4], as well as on the site skrypin.ua . The project is broadcasted from Skrypin's Kyiv apartment, which has been converted into a studio. Roman received the first broadcast equipment free of charge for temporary use.

The investors of the project are unknown, in a May interview with Channel «112», Roman did not name the people who support the project financially, explaining that most of them are «friends who invest their own money».[5]

The first topics of the project were: «Prosecutor Lutsenko», «Peacemaker's Lists», «PutinVSMusk», «Vakarchuk's Birthday», «Let's watch Eurovision 2016 together». Skrypin himself describes Skrypin.ua as an author's project, not a TV channel. The broadcast takes place on the Internet and the Lanet local network.

As part of the UMN project, it was planned to open a studio in Prague in collaboration with Czech public figure Rostislav Prokopyuk and Berlin.[6]

Content[edit]

In the studio before recording

Initially, it was planned to make issues once a week in the format of the so-called kvartyrnyk (house concert), later the format of broadcasts was expanded to three ethers per week. As of November 2016, the broadcast schedule was as follows:[7]

  • 16+ — every Wednesday at 20:00
  • Kitchen - every Friday at 14:00
  • Kvartyrnyk - on Sundays at 16:00.

From March 2017, Kvartyrnyk ceased to exist and was replaced by "Sunday Channel", which consisted of the following headings:

  • Editorial Board (discussion with the editors of Ukrainian publications of last week's events),
  • Sunday Protsyshyn (author - Bohdan Protsyshyn) and News from the Finger, created by Maksym Shcherbyna from Zaporizhia Public TV (humor, irony, sarcasm),
  • History with meat (historical project of Danylo Yanevsky, communication with guest historians on historical and historical topics),
  • REW:, own opinions and maxims of the channel's staff members about the latest events in the country.

A separate Sunday broadcast of the channel is announced the day before in the form of SAF (Separate Art Form), a short video announcement with a creative approach.

The broadcasts are conducted by Roman and his colleagues live with the possibility to watch the recording on YouTube. On June 25, 2016, Skrypin was joined by his colleague, well-known journalist and presenter Danylo Yanevsky.[8]

On the air, Skripin does not adhere to generally accepted standards of journalism, which he said in an interview[9] . Moreover, Roman explains his position by the need for freedom and lack of standards, even reserving the right to use profanity on the air. [10] Viewers can call live via Skype and ask questions to guests, or express their own opinion.

The project collects donations for its work using an account in PrivatBank and PayPal.
