The Pornhub Awards are an annual award ceremony held in Los Angeles for the field of adult content, established in March 2018 by the video-streaming website Pornhub, one of the major websites owned by Aylo. As of April 2023, the awards cover over 45 different categories and award performers, cam models and studios for their work over the previous 12 months.
The award itself, a bright orange trophy based on the shape of sex hormones, was designed by legendary English art designer Peter Saville. Saville wanted to design an award for the video-streaming website that celebrated sexuality in a way that wasn't obvious, so he chose to create a form based on the science of sexual attraction.
The event became widely known thanks to the performances at the awards from cultural icons, such as Kanye West [2] [3] , Teyana Taylor, Bad Bunny , Ty Dolla Sign , Rico Nasty , Kali Uchis [4] [5] [6 ] and others.

The 1st Pornhub Awards was held on September 6, 2018 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. It was hosted by Asa Akira and featured a performance by Kanye West.[1][2]
In July 2018, Pornhub announced that Asa Akira had been chosen to host the awards show . [7] In early September 2018, it was reported that Kanye West would serve as the show's creative director [8]. On September 3, 2018, Pornhub and West confirmed their partnership [9] [10] . Unlike other award ceremonies such as the AVN Awards or XBIZ Award , the winners will be determined based on streaming data collected from website users. Data collected from mid-March 2018 until the day before the show on September 5th was used to find category winners. The award winners were also announced by fans voting on a special page on pornhub.com from mid-August 2018 until the event began in September . [11] [12]
The nominees were announced on August 8, 2018 [13] [14] . The show took place at the Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles . [15] [16] Kanye West and Teyana Taylor performed at the show [17] . During the event, West also premiered the music video for his song " I Love It " [2] .
