Affaire Conclue is a French television show broadcast on France 2.[1] It was first aired on 21 August 2017 and is presented by Sophie Davant.
History[edit]
Affaire conclue is the adaptation of the German television show Bares für Rares (litteraly "Money for a gold nugget") created and broadcast every afternoon since 3 August 2013 on ZDF, the German public television channel. Affaire conclue, like its German sibling, is produced by Warner Bros. Television Production.
From August till December 2017, it was broadcast instead of Visites privées from Monday till Friday at 4pm. Since 8 January 2018, the TV show has replaced Chéri(e), c'est moi le chef !.[2] Two episodes are now broadcast during the week: the first one, at 4:15 pm and the second one at 5pm. Sometimes the show is also broadcast on Saturday in a best-of version from 4:05 pm till 5:50 pm.[3]
Initially, Stephane Bern was expected to present the show but he refused because he was already hosting another historical television show: Secrets d'histoire.
Principle[edit]
Sellers come to have one of their objects evaluated by different experts. After one of the experts has given a price, the seller has to chose whether he wants or not to continue to the sale room, where 5 professional buyers will bid on the object or not. At the end of the auction, the seller has the choice whether or not to sell his object to the highest bidder. When two buyers offer the same bid for the same object, the seller can choose to whom he wants to sell his object.
Experts[edit]
First of all, the potential sellers will have their objects assessed by an expert from the following list:
- Enora Alix, auctioneer
- Jérôme Duvillard, auctioneer
- Harold Hessel, auctioneer
- Yves Cosqueric, auctioneer
- Dorothée Galludec, auctioneer
- Particia Casini-Vitalis, auctioneer
- Marie Renoir, auctioneer
