YUMI (Your USB Multiboot Installer) is an open-source live Multiboot USB flash drive creation software. It allows users to create a bootable live USB containing multiple ISO images of supported Linux distributions, antivirus utilities, system tools, and Microsoft Windows installers. YUMI was created by Lance of Pendrivelinux.com. It was intended to be the successor to the Universal USB Installer.

Reception

[edit]

Tom's Hardware editor sparkinwords says "YUMI or Your Universal Multiboot Installer is a free tool that allows you to create a bootable installation USB drive." [2] CNET editor says "YUMI isn't much to look at, but performs as an incredibly powerful tool for creating bootable USB drives. Not only does it let you hold multiple operating systems, but also it lets you install anti-virus and performance-boosting utilities. If you need to rescue an old or infected PC, this program will be the hero you want." [3] Lifehacker Whitson Gordon says "Even better is YUMI, which lets you put multiple live CDs on one flash drive—meaning you can combine all your favorite rescue discs, Linux distros, and other tools and put them in your pocket.".[4]
