Partial Mission Statement
[edit]1. To help make Wikipedia better in clarity. This mostly means fixing links, spelling, grammar, deleting arbitrary POV adjectives and adverbs, nouns and pronouns and other stuff that really doesn't need to be there.
2. I strongly disapprove of the implied emphatic 'only', e.g., "only in 1967, during the so-called "Summer of Love", was slavery finally banned on Manhattan Island". Whenever possible I will quickly edit out any instances I see that make me feel like puking.
3. Whenever I see 'to the tune of' in a Wikipedia article, especially but not limited to describing unusually large numbers ( "....to the tune of fifty dollars" ) I will make it disappear, for no reason at all, with a bland Edit Summary that gives no clues about any obsessive behaviors.
4. Someday I may submit an article about something when it's ready for prime time.
