Alexander "Alex" Nazir Esmail is a British actor who is best known for his role in the award winning film Attack the Block.[1][2][3]

Career[edit]

After making his debut in multi-award winning science fiction film Attack the Block in 2011, Alex Esmail was nominated for Best Esemble at the 2012 Black Reel Awards along with the rest of the cast, but lost to The Help.[4][5] In 2012 he went on to star in films Payback Season and Strippers vs Werewolves.[6][7][8] He also had roles in television shows Casualty and Switch.[9] He is starring alongside Steve Coogan in Northern Soul, which is currently in post-production and has a 2013 release date.[10]
