The Web-Installer is a kind of Installation program. Such an installation assistant only requires internet connection during the installation process. That's because the web-installation-package does not include the installation data itself. It will download the data that it needs to install some software, that will automatically be deleted, when the installation process is finished successfully. The web installer knows exactly, where and how to download the data, and how to use the data to install the program. But it's great disadvantage is, that it does actually not contain the installation data itself, so that internet connection is inevitably required to execute the installation. But it's advantage over the standalone offline installer is, that the web installer itself has just got the size of approxmintly 1 MB. The great advantage of the offline, standalone installer is, that programs can be installed instantly, without requiring any internet connection. Additionally, the time, that the WebInstaller needs, to download the installation data, will be omitted, because the data is already included into the installation package.__InDeX__
