I disagree with your assertion that my take on pronoun usage has been demonstrated to be flawed. However, in the case of this article I've chosen to defer. No need to go on about why. I would ask you in return to truly assume good faith when you read my posts and perhaps to reflect a bit before reacting. I wouldn't have responded this way were it not for it being not the first time that Sloat had this problem. As a vocal and well-informed editor, they're definitely gunning for you. You mustn't give them the satisfaction. Gather your evidence, bide your time, stay cool and don't trip up on even marginally-arguable 3RR's and you'll be fine. You've got the benefit of the strength of your convictions and you also happen to be amazingly well-informed - so your detractors can only reparse the same counterarguments to your contributions rather than collaborate. A history of this kind of behavior is easy to see - so let them accumulate a history while you consciously stay one level 'amped down'. Actually we stopped by for coffee and atmosphere (y'know, just being around books). Surrounded by temptation, but I promised myself not to buy anything more until I finish Charles Kimball's When Religion Becomes Evil (signed copy, picked it up when I heard him speak a two weeks ago).

Wow - I guess it was a good read! I'm similar to you in that when I'm into a 'good read' I'll sometimes polish the book off in mere hours. I've been doing a lot of reading for my poli-sci class lately and so I've been more 'actively' involved (my hiliter pens are getting quite a workout!) than in a good, deep read. Last summer I did the Enron 'Smartest Guys' book in a lovely sunny beach weekend. I'll have to check out 'Monkey Girl', since disturbing reading is excellent for late nights out at the beach house, all alone... :) :) -- User:RyanFreisling @ 04:39, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Forgot to mention - my favorite 'repeat read' for the beach is either Thoreau's 'Walden' or DeToqueville's 'Democracy in America' - both of them are kind of 'open to any page and dive back in' material for me. No, edit warring is petty. I urge you to look at your elapsing probation not as license to engage in renewed edit warring and revert warring, but as a guideline for how to continue to conduct yourself (more 1RR than 3RR, more 'talk' page resolution). It's not petty and it's not personal to bring the community's attention to an existing ArbCom probation for your edit warring when you've been reported for 3RR. Last, I would point out that you maintain links to a few of my posts on your user/talk pages, whereas I deleted your links weeks ago after you and I were no longer engaged in acrimonious debate on Military Commissions Act.
