Michael Selway (born June 1936) is the father of Phil Selway, Radiohead's drummer and widower of Thea Selway.
Biography[edit]
Michael J. Selway was born in Bristol in 1936.[1] He married Thea Coles from Bootle in West Cheshire in 1959[2] and they had three children. His son, Philip James Selway, is best known as the drummer of Radiohead. Mike and his wife lived in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. He has also lived in Wallingford.
Thea died during a Radiohead tour in May 2006 aged 68, during one of Phil's Radiohead tours. Phil returned home so he could carry out his family duties.
