Yesterday's Eternal Hackers, commonly abbreviated as YEH, is a grey hat computer hacking group that originated in mid-2018 whose sole purpose was to bring down websites mentioned by them to be affiliated with government in monitoring data, even mentioning Wikipedia[1]in the list. They identify themselves with the picture of the fictional character Arsene Lupin who is hence known as the master of disguise, thus revealing that their identity is disguised.
Since then the group have started attacking various websites, starting from local school sites to service-provider sites. They have also mentioned about a series of missions referring to as "Operation YEH"[2] in which they have posted of attacking several websites all over the world.
More recently, they have started defacing vulnerable sites using common techniques such as SQL-Injection , File inclusion vulnerability and various more types of attacks. By now they have been listed at one of the Top(146-147) Hactivists of the world in Mirror-H.org[3], which hosts data collecting hacked sites and hactivists. Their profile in Mirror-H shows sites hacked as 7[4], which may differ from now or the data collected.
As seen from many sources, the hackers engage in vulnerability exploiting, database hijacking, database leaks, website ransom , admin panel takeovers, and other defacements. Their first attack was leveled against an Indian School site known as Daffodils and have went on since then to being active on their site hosted by wikia and by Internet activism, they are gathering people to join their organisation, to compete in Operation YEH in the favour to return money as a service from the hacked sites.
