Climate Week NYC is a variety of meetings and activities from across the business, government and NGO sectors that engages and spurs action. Hosted by The Climate Group, the week is typically the second or third week in September. The event has run during 2009, 2010, and underway for its third. The opening of the United Nations General Assembly followed by the Carbon Disclosure Project report typically start Climate Week, and this year will coincide with the Climate Global Initiative Annual Meeting.

The Opening Ceremony of Climate Week is an international media event in which world leaders call upon government and business to join them to deliver current and future developments for climate action. The week that follows includes an array of lectures, exhibitions, and discussions with politicians, business leaders, and local companies and organizations throughout the city. The week is meant to bring together all branches of the environmental industry to move the world towards a "Clean Revolution".
