Stephanie Hwang (born August 1, 1989), better known by her stage name Tiffany, is a Korean singer and dancer of the Korean girl group Girls' Generation.
Biography
[edit]Tiffany was born in California, United States and grew up in Diamond Bar. She auditioned at the SM Starlight Casting System and joined the company in October 2004 in Los Angeles.[1][2] She was trained at SM for 3 years and 7 months.[citation needed] She graduated from Korea Kent Foreign School in April of 2007, but Tiffany attented primary school in California in South Pointe Middle School (US) and Diamond Bar High School (US).
Career
[edit]Girls' Generation
[edit]Girls' Generation is one of South Korea's top female pop groups. The nine-member girl group is often referred to as SNSD, the acronym for their Korean name So Nyeo Shi Dae (소녀시대, or So Nyuh Shi Dae). Girls' Generation made their official debut in August 2007 with single "Into the New World".

Tiffany was the co-host of Mnet's Sonyeo Sonyeon Gayo Baekso (Korean: 소년소녀 가요백서), along with Kim Hyesung from November 5, 2007 to June 13, 2008.[3] In 2008, she released two songs alongside with Seohyun and Jessica named "Oppa Nappa" (Korean: "오빠 나빠") and "Mabinogi (It's Fantastic!)". Tiffany has also participated in the OST of SBS' "Jamyeonggo" with the song "나 혼자서" ("By Myself")[4][5] and was featured in a duet with K.Will called "A Girl, Meets Love".[6] She was also featured in "너만을 느끼며" ("Oh! My Love to You") by The Blue, alongside bandmate Sooyoung.[7] Furthermore, Tiffany, along with other Girls' Generation member Yuri, is currently the MC on MBC's Music Core.[8][9]
