Professional Quality Assurance Ltd. (PQA) is an Information Technology (IT) company that offers software quality assurance, content quality assurance, and learning solutions services to organizations in a variety of industry sectors including Marketing, Financial, Government, and eLearning.[2] The company provides services to both national and international organizations from its offices across Canada as a leading quality assurance and testing company in Canada.

PQA, the New Brunswick-based company, is a founding member of New Brunswick Information Technology Council (NBITC).[3]

History

Founded in 1997 by Keith McIntosh, the company grew from its base in downtown Fredericton, NB, Canada. In 2009, PQA was named the fastest growing company in Atlantic Canada and placed 34th in Canada by Profit Magazine,[4] and one of Canada's top 250 Canadian technology companies by Branham Group.[5] In 2011, PQA acquired Vancouver-based software testing company, rallyQA, to grow the company at an even faster rate.[6]

PQA focuses on providing third-party verification and validation of computer software and automated software testing services. The company provides all stages of functional and non-functional software testing, based on the principles promoted by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB).[7]
Content services such as content validation, website usability, and content presentation are produced and delivered with software services.[8] PQA's CQA team conducts copy editing, indexing, multimedia validation, competency mapping, content migration, and add-on services.

PQA’s instructional designers create coursewares such as e-Learning courseware, blended learning solutions, and instructor-led training materials.
