Sources and Compilation[edit]
This list is sorted by priority of columns H(ue), S(aturation), L(ightness), using a custom script I wrote. The initial source for this is the List of colors (compact) article. I'd like to add to this from as many named color sources as possible. This could be expanded to include, for example, the XKCD color survey), where it may have become scientifically valid that there are colors named "poo" and "booger." It might already include every color from the List of Crayola crayon colors, the Pantone colors, and others.
I wish Randall Munroe had also surveyed for top 3 favorite colors; notwithstanding it would reflect the demographic he describes as "mostly white and nerdy."
