The Cotton On Group is an Australia based clothing and retailing company File:Co1 b.jpg
It was found in 1991 with one store in Geelong, Victoria. Cotton On has quickly evolved into a bona fide fashion destination boasting 600 stores and 4500 employees (2009).
The original men and women fashion lins is called Cotton, sleepwear and activewear with Cotton On Body; children’s fashion with Cotton On Kids, footwear with Rubi shoes; and gifts and stationary with Typo. [1]
Now The Cotton On Group has store in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and the US.
The Cotton On Foundation Although Cotton On has been raising funds for charities since it’s inception in 1991, the Foundation was officially registered in August 2008. In 2004, $750,000 were raised.
Initially Cotton On delivered lump sums to many viable causes such as The Australian Red Cross, Make a Wish Foundation, Australian Cancer Research Foundation, Australian Cancer Research Foundation, The Royal Children’s Hospital and several local charities throughout the Geelong Region.
The popular “Message in a Bottle” bottled water campaign, have been circulated since October 2008 and have been going in to new stores every week. while the company is expanding internationally, funds were believed to be increased.
Now, the "Project Mannya", "Run Geelong" and "Rainbow Rider". The projected profit for the Foundation in 2009 is $1,000,000 with a key objective in helping remote and disadvantaged communities around the globe. [2]
