Łukasz Pawlikowski (Polish pronunciation: [ˈwukaʂ pavliˈkɔvski], born 14 August 1997) is a Polish cellist. He studied playing under prof. Arto Noras, prof. Jeroen Reuling, prof. Witold Herman and prof. Dorota Imiełowska. By the age of six he appears at the Cracow Poetry Salon. He is connected with the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre. Pawlikowski debuted in 2006 with the Beethoven Academy Orchestra in the Tempel Synagogue, Kraków.[1] Since then, he has collaborated with artists such as Anna Polony,[2] Anna Dymna,[3] Zofia Kucówna,[4] Elżbieta Stefańska,[5] Mariola Cieniawa,[6] Jerzy Trela,[7] Jerzy Stuhr[8] and Kevin Kenner.[9] Under direction of prof. Krzysztof Penderecki he study interpretation of his music. Appears as a soloist in his country, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia.

Early years[edit]

He began his musical education at the age of six, under prof. Dorota Imiełowska. He also studied playing under prof. Arto Noras, prof. Jeroen Reuling and prof. Witold Herman. By the age of six he appears at the Cracow Poetry Salon. At the age of eight years at the invitation of Elżbieta Penderecka at the Tempel Synagogue in concert performing D. Popper's Hungarian Rapsody with the Beethoven Academy Orchestra. He gave world premiere performances of two works (by A. Walaciński and M. Bień).

Study and work with Penderecki[edit]

In June 2010, prof. Krzysztof Penderecki has invited Pawlikowski to work under his direction on the interpretation his Capriccio per Siegfried Palm and other contemporary oeuvres. He also participated, as a member of the group of ten Polish cellists, in the educational encounters with prof. Arto Noras. On Spring 2011, when he was 13, he has passed the exam to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, but he had not started studying due the law and financial problems. In November 2012, Pawlikowski has been invited to play for opening of The European Krzysztof Penderecki Center for Music, first at the Polish Senate hall, second on the Center scene.[10][11]
